    Schrick manifold

Hehe... it's like the Cook Report!

    window rubbers

I *think* they are still available from Volkswagen Dealers but are rather expensive... worth going in to check!

    Schrick manifold

Wonder if it'd be possible to ask him some kind of question that only Schrick owners might know perhaps.. does each one have a unique serial number on it? Do you remember what yours was? If he makes up some kind of random number for the serial that isn't the same format as the one you had....?
  4. I'll be emailing it to the printers this weekend :)

    Bbs cs-5

After a quick think, I don't reckon they'll work.. they're just not traditional BBS / classy enough and look like a generic aftermarket wheel IMHO!
  6. I use Google Chrome here and Firefox 4 at work - neither log me out. Do you guys have the "Keep Me Logged In / Remember Me" option ticked?
  7. Don't understand. I haven't had to log in for weeks....!
  8. What makes me laugh is they still talk about 2.5 litre old BMW sheds being powerhouses - when there are people out there driving ****ing Seat Leon's with substantially more horsepower and ability to kill / cause accidents. Insurance is my major hate. If you own more than one car and they're both modified, I can't think of a more soul destroying experience than the whole process of trying to get insurance. Best thing to do in your situation mate is get the Corrado insured with a specialist on a classic policy, where NCB are not required or accumulated (can highly reccomend Lynnebrook Insurance.. I have a policy with them!) and then do the normal NCB type policy with someone like Direct Line on the BMW.
  9. Top tip... write your posts in Notepad, and then you can copy and paste them into the message window - means that you won't lose a whole load of writing if the forum decides to log you out ;)

    Go-go

Yeah - time and mileage should be visible on the clocks even when the ignition is completely off and the key is out!
  11. Interesting.. I must experiment with this.
  12. I look forward to seeing what the S1 and (presumably) the RS1 will end up costing. Should be a laugh!
  13. I'd never have bought a Corrado at full price either!! £3,000 is about all I am willing to pay for one! :)
  14. Options or not.. do you not think it's ridiculous? £30,000?
  15. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2745069.htm An Audi A1. A little city econo-box. £30,000. That is all. (6k more would get you a brand new Porsche Boxster...) Proof that the sheer ego of Audi has reached entirely new levels.

    sunroof :(

Please use the search.. sunroof problems have come up zillions of times over the years and I'm sure you'll find some answers if you look :)
  17. Used to do it for me on the old forum a fair bit, actually. Clearing cookies & cache always sorted it tho!
  18. Might be worth properly clearing out history and cookies... I suspect that'd be the cause!
  19. Message from Eric: This year there is no drop-down box on the ticket booking website to indicate which club you are with. Instead I have now received 10 club stand hangers for each Saturday and Sunday. So, book your own entry tickets on-line, then using the club stand hanger at arrival, you will be guided to the CCGB club stand instead of the general car park. Anyone wanting to go, PM or email me your CCGB membership number and full current address details, so I can send out the club stand mirror hanger for either Saturday, Sunday or both days (depending on what youy have booked and paid for using the Inters on-line facility). The club stand hanger is NOT your entry ticket! The club stand hanger is simply so upon arrival you do not get fobbed off into the general car park Tempest
  20. Very nice indeed mate - you really look like you're in with this one for the long haul :) Top stuff.
  21. Did you literally just remove one distributor and fit the other? You do know that the "angle" of the distributor is what governs the timing of the engine? It sounds to me like you may have just removed and refitted and now your timing is MILES out...
  22. I dunno mate.. I've seen some frankly stupid good deals for the same price as a reasonable VR! :)
  23. Hmm... your year of VR should have the immobiliser though so that's a bit confusing. I'd still suggest having a go at this - only takes a few minutes to get the dash undertray out!
  24. Does your key have the pressable VW logo with a little torch in it?
