  1. I agree with paul.. I prefer the 5 spokers! :)
  2. Spotted this on another forum and felt it had to be posted on here.. one for all the G60 (or other supercharged Corrado) owners :D
  3. M3 mirrors have been pulled.. Skyline lights were a bit of a git so I ended up sacking that. I'll have a go at doing a shot of the rear but.. no promises. I'll see what I can do :)
  4. When I get home tonight, i'll try and find some Skyline R34 lights, and chop em onto the image for you Lanny :)
  5. Well idea was to make an R32 Corrado, hence the title of the thread. I wanted to try and make an amalgamation of the two, using parts from both. If I change the wheels, the bumper, and different lights (which i'm sure would look pretty good) then its not going to be an R32 Corrado is it :) I'm gonna try and work on it some more, but the things you have suggested will be very hard to do..
  6. It really is pretty painful to see stuff like that... it sucks to be an enthusiast about things sometimes :(
  7. I definately can't afford the Concept 500.. i'm pushing it as is with the Concept 300 mate! The 300 will be more than enough.. and as funds allow, I can bolt on extras at a later date! :)
  8. I was considering that actually.. wonder if they'd plop it along side all the stuff that Kane does :) I'll send em an email tonight :)
  9. Dont look at me Roddy, it wasnt my idea! *points at Tom* I was happy to leave the regular Rado ones on!!!! Besides, you aren't exactly one to talk mate.. mr 'I slammed my Rado in my Avatar' ;)
  10. Oh dear... And he avoided the VR because of potential reliability problems? :)
  11. Well looking at the brochure, it seems the 500 just includes a few of the 'addons' as standard.. over the Concept 300 you get : * 5 button / 16 channel alarm key fob * BlackJax anti carjacking system * Dual zone proximity sensor (the chirping thing) :) * The ability to adjust each 'zone' via the 5 button key fob And that seems to be it.. so as I say, its just slightly more advanced & comes with a few of the 'addons' that you can get for the Concept 300.
  12. Had a go with Leon lights Andy, but it was quite hard to re-shape the front end around them... i'll play around and see what I can come up with though :) *edit* Here is a rough go with Leon lights... *edit* Ah nuts to it.. they looked crap so I deleted that post :D
  13. And now with a chin spoiler.. Toms reccomendation again.. Sorry for all you people on dialup :(
  14. Spent a bit of time with Tom throwing ideas at me on MSN... now have M3 mirrors and some R32 side skirts as well.. looks a lot better I think :)
  15. Well I can find out anything you need to know about it... as I say, a good friend of mine has one fitted to his Renault Clio Sport 172 :)
  16. Hm.. how about narrower style, like the Seat Leon. This is a pretty rough chop, but was just trying to think what you could actually do to those bubbley lights!! *chopped this attachment as it sucked*
  17. You should try and pick up the remote engine start for it :) Either that or the dual proximity sensors.. a mate has that on his Concept 500, and if you even get too close to the car (like peering through the windows) it'll chirp loudly at you to scare you away. Stand there too long, it'll chirp some more.. and if you dont get the hint it sets the alarm off. No actual intrusion needed. Pretty damn good.. alerts you if you are in earshot of the car if people are loitering!!
  18. Firstly.. I hope Joby doesnt mind me borrowing a picture of his C as a canvas.. seemed to be just right for the chopping :) I admit it's not the best photochop you will ever see, but I just got inspired and had to have a go. Good, bad? Anything you'd change? Cheers :)
  19. He should definately have a skim over magazines like Evo and Top Gear.. they still hold the Corrado VR6 in very high regard. Though I certainly wouldn't reccomend the Corrado to someone who dislikes bills...... :)
  20. I dont think I have ever heard of a VR6 timing chain breaking before? Not a single one in fact. Not to be rude or anything, but I certainly wouldn't base my motoring decisions & beliefs on what I read in Fast Car magazine.. they are hardly the epitome of high quality motoring journalism.
  21. Yeah.. admittedly if I had the cash then i'd love to go a bit further up the range to the Concept 500 and beyond.. but they are just hugely expensive, and I think perhaps a BIT over the top for a Saxo. I just want a good quality alarm that will deter all the muppets.. I think a Concept 300 is good enough to be a 'pro only' break in job, but I cant imagine many pro's stealing Saxo's to order so I should be ok. Gonna scope out the pay situation next Wednesday and hopefully get this thing ordered! :)
  22. I've read a bit on a Saxo forum (no jokes, its just a handy site to have) about people getting these alarms done for around £300, but complaining about the work or the quality of the fitment. But now Andy goes and throws a spanner in the works with his 'happy with a £300 all in' posting :) To be honest there is only one other reputable looking company in Coventry but every time I have been there for advice on car stereo stuff they have always been really rude to me.. I almost feel like i'd rather not give them the trade. I'll keep hunting.
  23. I will be sure to do that.. though I was told that as part of the sale I will get an 'Insurance Approved' installation certificate.. But yes, I will double check. I'd be curious to see if it'll lower my premium any as well.
  24. Spoke to my local ICE & Alarm centre (Pilot) earlier today about supplying and fitting a Clifford Concept 300 alarm for my Saxo. I was quoted £375.. now I have heard of people getting it done for around £300 with some companies, but I also know that Pilot have a very good reputation - not only that they are listed as on Cliffords website as an authorized dealer.. the banners and certificates all over their showrooms seem to back this up. A good price? Bad price?
