  1. Well I had a Clifford Concept 300 fitted recently.. only had it about a month, but its pretty well behaved and works like a charm. Beware of cowboy fitters.. only go with approved or reccomended ones.
  2. Lol.. ok... i'll sort some praise out ;) As mentioned in Toms post, I sold him a Pioneer remote control for his head unit. I had only just finalised the deal with him, and he had already arranged a direct bank transfer, emailed me his postal address, and was stood waiting for the parcel on his doorstep. Top deal. I can also pass on praise from a friend of mine who bought some DVD's from him. Lightning fast postage and the DVD's in question were in mint condition. As trust worthy a seller as there is :)
  3. PD-Motorsport - no one does your dub, more good! Its from an old TV commerical ages ago.. but I can't remeber what the hell it was :) *edit* Ahhh.. I remeber now. It was on the Cuprinol woodstain adverts ;) The wooden guy used to say "Cuprinol.. no one does your wood, more good" :)
  4. Tom, Didn't I sell you a Pioneer remote control? :D Its like the never ending quest for positive feedback on eBay ;) :)
  5. PD-Motorsport... dub specialists...
  6. I gotta be honest and say that I never heard about the Corrado having an active front spoiler :(

Sounds good Darren! :) Would it be open for Corrado Forum members? Well, subject to whatever fees are necessary of course.

    60 in second

10 seconds to do 60MPH? That doesn't really sound right... you might wanna get your engine checked over, and make sure that its running at full power! As Tony said, you can't really adjust gearing - new gearbox if you really wanna be doing 60 in 2nd gear. Not much point though unless you enjoy annhilating your car though.
  9. Of course thats fully comp mate :) I have heard a lot of good things about HIC.. i'll have to give em a call :)
  10. Time to give Axa a shot then! :) *edit* At £910 they can, as the saying goes, fook orf :)
  11. Well finally.. one perk of driving a group 7 car is the cost of insurance. Just had an online quote from More Than, which is the best I have ever had. 22 year old, 3 years no claims, no points/accidents on Saxo VTR - £612. And thats an online quote! I reckon I can get that down with a bit of haggling over the phone and bouncing between a few companies. Wonder if £500 is achieveable :)
  12. Whoa! Andy! I bought my Corrado from EMC Performance! :) He's not all that far away from me....... bout 30/40 miles :) His name is Gavin, if I remeber correctly. If you wanna sort something out, drop me a PM :)
  13. Oh.. forgot about this thread. Just like to send a big thumbs up to Brian Walker / dubster82 - sold him a parcel shelf a month or so ago, and the cheque plopped through the letter box a few days later with a friendly cover letter. Thanks to Roddy / vr6storm for getting the thing to him in the first place :) Would gladly do business with him again :)

Yeah I dont think they are talking about sharing the car, as in having a drive.. just the opportunity to passenger for a few laps or somethin :)

A track day or Corrado Forum meet would be an excellent idea, and a chance to really put some names to faces. Post your interest in such an event down.. maybe we can pursure / arrange sorting something out? I might get ask Andi to put up a new poll on the front page to gauge interest :)
  16. Definately wasn't the RS6 ;) I believe it was the new shape S4, with a 4.2 litre V8. The RS6 has a similar engine, just with a pair of turbochargers bolted on :D
  17. I have heard before that Halfords used to do a full fitted VR6 Magnex system for about £320.. which isn't a bad price imho.

    THE Wheel page

biggrim, Good luck picking up a set of Superleggra's... I posted on a Saxo forum (yeah yeah, quit with the jokes already) as I think they really suit most french cars (seen them on a few Clio's and Saxo's) and I had considered getting some if I was feeling particularly rich. A really tidy Saxo VTR was up for sale near me, basically unmolested apart from a set of those alloys and they actually did suit the car a treat. A few people posted back to let me know that Oz have stopped production of the Superleggra and that they are getting quite difficult to find these days. Apparently there was some minor defect in the moulds for them, and they ceased production with a redesign pending. Good luck finding a set if you decide to go for em! :)
  19. I raced a few cars in my Corrado.. but it used to alarm me the kind of lengths people would go to, trying to prove that their car was quicker. I mean tailgating an inch behind you, finding any opportunity to overtake even in heavy traffic.. its totally insane. Had some guy come right up behind me once in a Peugeot 306, and I could see he had his kid in his passenger seat. He tailgated for about 100 metres as we went into a roundabout, and onto a local (and empty) bypass road.. I wasn't going too fast so I just slipped the car down into 2nd and floored it. He did try to keep up, but by the time I was up into 4th he was waaay behind. Came up to the next roundabout at a bit of a silly speed and I started to brake and slow down for it.. and then the guy in the Peugeot, obviously a bit pissed that I had shown him up, howled past and went screeching round the roundabout at a seriously dangerous speed. Too little, too late. Already shown up mate :) Did used to really enjoy showing the muppets up in Nova's and done up Fiestas though.. they'd give it all the revs and nudging forward.. i'd just pretend to be not paying attention (even though I knew the light sequence) and just leap away from the lights.. they were usually left behind in the dust by the time I was changing into 3rd :)
  20. Ahh yes... wiz zis rocher you are really spoiling us! Well just to say that I will be heading up to the French Car Show near Silverstone this Sunday with a mate of mine.. he owns a Renault Clio 172 Sport and I got me Saxo, so we figured its worth it for a day out at £5.. hopefully it'll be the French car equivilant of Inters and I might be able to pick up some bargain bits and pieces. Guess we'll have to see. Dont worry though.. I will be taking my digital camera to snap any dodgy body kits & naff exhaust setups :) :)

    ICE display dimming

My Pioneer head unit used to dim when I turned the headlights on.. If thats of any use :)
  22. I hear nothing but good things about the Magnex systems. Nice sound, nice price, and nice fit. To top that off, it looks very much like the OE exhaust system, just with a thicker shinier exhaust tip. Supoib :)
  23. You spell it 'Corrado' - not 'Carrado' by the way ;) :)
