Great news mate :) I look forward to seeing this car on the road at some point this year and even getting a passenger ride in it. We should really do a feature on it too for the club website, given the unique engine!

Idle valve right here: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88739

If you're talking the KR engine ISV, then they're not the same as the 2.0 16v / 9A one.. different design, and connector too I think. The VR6 one I think however is compatible (indeed I used to run a VR6 ISV on my 2.0 16v no problems).

As I'm local to you, if anyone has one that they can only get to a meet I'm heading to in the coming months (stanford hall, national day, etc), happy to collect and drop it over to you in Leamington Spa as I can't imagine posting a rack and ABS pump would be cheap.

Indeed. Nice when people come back to post their findings / solutions rather than just vanishing. Thank you!

Firstly there were the changes to the road tax system which, initially seemed great - no more tax disk! Tax online! Pay it monthly if you want to! Easier to setup SORN! But then the realities about buying a pre-owned car with no tax, having to try and tax it before you were the new owner, etc not to mention the period of tax the government get for free if you tax / cancel tax any time other than the start or end of the month... And now they wheel this gem out, regarding hiring cars abroad: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-32481382 "Anyone wanting to hire a car abroad will officially need a code to show convictions for offences like speeding. To obtain it, motorists will have to log on to the DVLA website beforehand. But the code is only valid for 72 hours, so anyone wanting to hire a car more than three days into their trip will need to generate a new code while they are abroad. For those who do not have internet access, a phone number will also be made available." What a hare brained, half arsed idea this is. Honestly.. whoever the hell came up with this wants locking in the stocks and pelting with rotten vegetables for a day.

Very nice indeed :) Welcome to the forum!

Wasn't there at that point!

I pulled up (green VR6) and said hello to a few folks. You came up and introduced yourself and I said something about seeing your car.. you were confused as you thought I meant I'd seen you driving in earlier, and I meant that I saw the white Corrado on my way into the car park and realised that was probably you :) But then I got distracted and headed up early to setup in the committee room. If you say you're at Stanford Hall, I'll look out for you :)

Definitely not me :(
-
Absolutely not! I hate it when people swear in front of children! I'm quite certain that wasn't me.
-
Thanks for coming! Your Corrado looked superb - blackberry and RS301's is always a very desirable combo!
-
I meant for more than like.. 30 seconds! :)
-
Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you, Wayne. Love the fish-eye lens picture!
-
Pretty quiet one to be fair. More committee than club members. Time for the club to go away and think about how we do things going forward.
-
Likewise :) They're doing great. Judith might manage a sub four hour and Kippy looks like he might manage 3 and a half hours. Amazing :)
-
I talked to you in front of my car earlier dude..
-
Enjoy the museum, Wayne!
-
What did they say about the Corrado? :)
-
Agreed. Works well on the RC's!
-
Ok. See attached.

That may be a bit early.. we don't normally have an allocated parking area so we normally just find an empty bit of the car park and then just all park together.
-
Indeed. But the point I'm making is that people will pay 'Porsche reproduction' prices even on cheaper cars such as Scirocco's / Corrado's where these parts are obsolete and vital for keeping the car on the road.
-
Not wanting to crash the thread but this is what I've been trying to investigate for some months regarding reproduction VR6 front grille badges in silver. It's all gone a bit stale but it's something I am continuing to pursue.
