  1. I was in a similar situation myself. I'd say the S2 is probably a better car i.e. biuld quality, more BHP, more torque, 4WD etc. ...but it also looks a bit dated!
  2. I think those would look really good on a C
  3. This may be a better link http://www.corrado-club.ca/ I haven't looked at them myself, I just noticed them while browsing...

    My New Toys

Nice one Cheesy 8) Are you going to fit them yourself? If so, can you take some pics for us?
  6. The seats on the Corrado fold down but, don't fold down flat! I know 'cos I had to sleep in mine a few years ago... boy was it uncomfortable :) The seats should fold down enough to get your gear in tho'

    MOON ROOF THANX

Nice one Hustler 8) I toyed with the idea last year when my sunroof broke. I could've got a green tinted roof from a '94 Passat. But my roof still only slides & the Passat is gone now :( Would you do it again?
  11. Very good  Are they from America?
  12. If I open my windows, they rattle at 10mph :(
  13. Its like a lot of things, easy, when you know how! I had a similar problem a while back with my gear selection. I did panic a bit at first but, when I went under the bonnet & started studying the setup. Adjusting the cables is so simple, all you need is a 13mm socket with an extension. You can also adjust your gear selection at the actual gearstick itself. Just pull the plastic gear surround upwards to expose a few linkages. All you need to adjust the gear selection here is a 13mm spanner. Loosen the bolt & move the arm left (& down) to improve 1st, 2nd & reverse gear selection & right (& up) to improve 5th gear selection. It only takes small adjustments to the linkages to make a big difference to the gear change.

    ISV Cleaning

I romoved the ISV from the C last night to give it a bit of a cleaning. :) I bought some 'Wynns' carburetor & injector cleaner (£4.50) & 2 dupliclips (16-20mm) to do the job. When I started cleaning the ISV I thought there was a sponge air filter in it  Turns out that the sponge must have come from my 'Pipervross' air filter. I think the filter is the problem as it had also clogged-up my throttle body when I cleaned it a few weeks ago. It leaves a sticky mess & frankly will fcuk-up the breathing of the engine. As a result of seeing this I will be removing my 'performance filter' & throwing it in the bin very shortly. When you consider the prices of throttle bodys & ISV's etc., its just not worth it for a little bit of noise. Just out of interest, does anyone know if a good induction kit i.e. BMC, K&N etc. would create similar or greater problems?
  16. I agree, they do look like a heavily modded family saloon
  17. I've drove a few Impreza's & have enjoyed the experience. I've drove two heavily modified ones, one import with apparently 380bhp. There is definetly turbo lag but once they catch, they really go. The handling was ok but was made better by the 4WD. As I said, I've drove a few but they all had some kind of modifications dome to there suspension, so its hard to compare like with like. The Impreza's I drove were very rattley & had a gear change that felt like, stirring a pot of soup. The clutches are prone to breaking on the older Impreza's & as for the new STi Impreza... the RS Focus (which is a 2WD car) beat the STi round the Top Gear track. Yes it was in the dry but, Who races in the wet???
  18. I'd of thought you'd need to redline it all the way. Just try & squeeze the throttle as much as possible without getting the dreadded wheel spin. P.S. Did a Corrado blow your golf then?
  19. Looks very nice mate :) It may not feel quick to 60mph but I assure you it is. Maybe its the better build quality (having less rattles ) makes it feel smoother. Enjoy!
  20. I prefer those back lights to anything else I've seen ...I wonder what's the chances on getting some

    Lambda Sensor

Hi all, Last time I got my car looked at by a VW specialist, he told me he had to 'reset the Lambda sensor'. Apparently it can go into a 'get you home' mode if it detects a problem (or so he told me). I know that it sniffs the petrol gases & sends back the information to the ecu for timing. My question is, how do you know if it needs resetting & how do you reset it? Am I right in saying that its located on the exhaust, on the passenger side, near the gearbox? Any ideas??
  22. Nice one jgtis, I think you'll find that once you get used to the Corrado, its handling will be far superior to the MR2. Although the MR2 is also a bit of a classic I think you've definitly moved upwards. You'll have to get it polished up & take a few pics. 8)
  23. Bit of class there Lee, Those seats look almost too good to sit on :) I'd say, keep your existing wheels on the car as well Your car shows you've got taste, good patience & dedication ....respect!
  24. Yeah, I done the 'Dremmel fix'... they are better but still not great. Luckily it does'nt rain much over here
  25. Looks good Alex! Boy, that is low____. Any rubbing with the 18"? What profile tyres are you running?
