Hi, Did the heaters control sell in the end? If not was the fan setting working on all 4 settings? And how much? Also do you have the plastic strip that goes across the top of the door on the inside. It sits on top of the door card against the window (hopefully you know what im on about lol). Need a drivers side one please. Cheers Krishen

Are most rados generally past it / riddled with rust?
krishen replied to Kenich's topic in General Car Chat
Ive got the opposite on mine. Body wise its in very good condition. No rust on arches, just a spot on the tailgate and the front wing where the side indicator fits.Even had DG commenting body was good. Then they lifted the car. The underneath just looks like a rust bucket. I believe the car spent a number of years in a coastal town which may explain it. Kenich just be patient. The way prices are going £2k should get you a pretty decent one. -
Hi, Sorry i completely forgot about this. Payment now sent.

I saw this car around Easter time at Lilfuzzers place. Believe he had just picked it up and said it was running pretty sweet. I believe the plan was to fix her up.

Im pretty certain the Golf one will NOT fit. Think its too 'curved'.

Good to be back. Thanks for sorting it out Andi.

I did mine about a year a go. Did mean to take pics but got too caught up. It actually is an easy job (if i could do it anyone can). Just a case of finding out how to remove all the trim bits. And a word of advise (so i was told) don't remove the strip at the front of the car that the headlining slots into. Apparently it will snap.

Im jumping on the band wagon. Ill take a set too please. Pm sending.

Would it not be easier to just stick in a 1.8 20v turbo engine?

Looks great. Lovely colour too.

Possible dodgy MOT... can anyone give me some advice
krishen replied to Peter Harper's topic in General Car Chat
Sorry to hear this. Know exactly how you feel as i had an issue with dodgy car when i bought mine. I would contact the seller to begin with and see if you can get any sort of refund out of him. Also the MOT station. Surely there must be some sort of ombudsmen or government department who looks after mot stations? Im sure someone will give some more informed info than i have. -

Can i join even if i can't draw? -
They didn't even ask me which colour i wanted. Just assumed that they were all black. Should be ready to pick up Wednesday.

This was actually parked in Hyde Park car park. Not seen it around there before to be honest.

And......

I was so focused on removing the damn box i didn't even think/look at this doh. Will check it out tomorrow

Can you stick some pics up of the interior as well please. I've got a dilemma now as to whether i should sell mine buy yours.
-
Do you guys have quite a bit of wind noise with the moonroof? Mine does so just wondering if thats normal or should i try and replace the seal?
-
Just tried to remove mine but same issue. I have even dismantled the trim under the glove box thinking that may help (should have checked on here first doh) but no luck with getting the damn box out. Will give it another go tomorrow with a lot more force unless anyone has come up with a better method since 2007?

Is that the top trumps one? Only one i seem to remember was the Jag XJ220.
-
Do you mean slide open or tilt open? The search function is at the top of this page on the right. Should bring up loads of threads with the same issue as you.

Is a tough market out there at the moment. It took me 2 auto trader listings and then an ebay auction to shift my Seat ibiza GTi. And it only went for £500 which is a damn bargain for the guy who won it.

Ah man. Just read this whole thread. Simply amazing. You have put so much work into her and at the price you've advertised is a steal for someone.

I decided to go for a run yesterday evening at Hyde Park. The car park was full of usual range rovers, couple of phantoms, Maybachs, my Corrado :-) and then i spotted an Alfa. Never seen anything like it. Was an SZ which id never even heard of. i must say it looked striking. Didn't have my phone on me but it looks like this. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=alfa+romeo+sz&hl=en&prmd=ivns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=B9LYTYDNLoPNhAfL9ZCwBg&sqi=2&ved=0CCsQsAQ&biw=1272&bih=622 Wouldn't mind getting my hands on one except it seems just over 1000 were made so not very likely.
