after having toyo's on my mk2 i would say deffinately give them a try loads of grip especially when warm, only thing i found with them was when they were cold and it was wet they could give a little understeer but nothing scary and it was wet, so never in that much of a rush :D

nice, obviously there is supposed to be some movement in them but ya reckon just giving a teak on each side will do the job then. what sort of price am i looking at if i do replace the whole lot instead of knocking the old bearings out :?:

cheers buddy, yeah it was just an advie note so theres no rush but will get it done on the next service, i thought as much so will save up for that bill in the not too near future then.

put my car in for it's mot today passed no problems, but was advized that there was a small amount of play in the rear bearings (a bit more than should be) it's a 97 golf vr highline now can these be adjusted to take up the play, and if not are they the same as the corrado vr where it comes as a complete unit rear disk the lot !!! or can i just replace rear bearings. cheers for your help.

i use an i dock which plugs into the the cig lighter no wires and has the i-trip built into it, you just drop your pod into it and you can change the frequency on the side with a display built into it, and the bonus with it it charges the ipod whilst it's plugged in so you never have a flat pod, i got it for 50 off ebay and it never leaves the car, no hiss no interfearance love it.

i just used a couple of 2ft long scaffold planks to reduce the incline :D

andy, could'nt have said it better myself, can't help driving to the conditions and not the situations is'nt a bad way of thinking when behind the wheel. just my 2p worth, it's these kids getting round towns far too fast that get me down :mad:

cheers, he deffinately did'nt exspect to see me gaining on him, but i really did'nt think i would do that well as i far as i know there are no mods even the exhaust is standard bar the back box but i have to say she is very keen and a lot more reponsive than my old c vr, as i said before i would be interested to see what she is putting down on a r/r , i am right in thinking a n plate scooby turbo is around 260 un-modded, even with 4 up it should still be quicker than me... :?:

the konis, k&N, will need to be the solitudes are o.e items but obviously let them know it has "alloys" if it was'nt on the car when it rolled out of the factory tell them about it... well done with the vr after having having two i can honestly say you'll love it, just be careful with the 100+ accelleration, it will catch you out....

was behind a n plate scooby turbo at some traffice lights today and i could tell they were havin a look (at me) and well i could'nt resist to see how my new vr would stand, so he pulled away quite gently and i just followed when he booted and so did i, anyway he did'nt pull away and had lost ground by third, had it been a better road i would have pasted him in fourth no problem, in honstly he was four up and i was on my own but i was very happy with my new vr and wished it had been a dual carrigeway so i could have really wiped the smile off his face... :D think i might get her on a rolling road when i'm a bit richer.

cheers guys, phil k, nothing really going to change the mirrors back to original ones as i don't like these ones either other than that just enjoy.... andy, i don't, my mk2 was really good fun but once in the vr i would'nt go back, performance, comfort, handling all far more fun in the vr. anyone got any mk3 electric mirrors.....if so pm me
