had a bit of nightmare with my mk2 recently stung by stealers for a 3" coolant pipe and then failing on mot for rear calipers and osf top mount, but anyway the guy who did the calipers on my car wanted two hours, 80 quid to replace both top mounts !!!! so i just rang ats out of interest and "yes mate one hour 40 quid can do it know if ya like" and and 40 quid later no more rattly top mount.. result happy with that... :D

having had a similar dilema not to long ago and owning 4 c's to date, 2 of which were vr's, i went for a mk2, i bought a 16v but i had a 2k budget, and i love it, when i need a part my local scrappy has'nt let me down once, and if you have a budget of a 1000 you will get a good one for that money the only reason i spent more was i wanted leather etc, just my 2 pennies but they are out there.

bally, the seats are out of a ford probe, totally agree with all of you that those wheels need to be replaced with somethin more classic just gonna have to wait untill i get some more work, but hey gives me enough time to make up my mind what i want to put on there, anyone got any suggestions on what would look good and not to much money if you know what i mean!!! something no bigger than 16" tho :?:
-
cheers buddy, to be honest my plan is to keep it until the engine get to the point of no return, and i reckon by then a 20v lump would'nt to much of exspensive option, saying that it's only on 110,000 so it's got a lot of life in her yet, but yeah this is my first mk2 and i have top say it's just keeps putting a smile on my face very happy :D

the seats are out of a ford probe believe or not the back bench is in there too which is a nice touch, i was thinking maybe a 2.8 vr instead of a 20v but what would you guys suggest....
