Hey Joey, long time mate; we both bought the Ice Greys at around the same time didn't we! I would like something a bit more track-focused. Maybe. :) Loved it though; it's been costly to maintain as I don't DIY, but it's been a joy and the VR6 remains to have a place in my 'lottery fantasy garage'. Great car and great forum community.

The life and Explots of Sid (As Named by my Girlfriend)

My favorite colour! Good luck with the problems. -
Nice one. I’ve also found that mine runs better after the track day; good old Italian tune-up! I didn’t have many ‘battles’ as such in Bedford as it’s a long track and quiet traffic but had fun with Clio172/182, Boxster and Elise. My car was the slowest of the lot though on the two main straights.

Well done Kev! Boy that didn't take you long..... you work fast don't you!

194 degree Fahrenheit = 90 degree Celsius so fairly normal to me. :)

Will try and join this weekend. Probably not a good idea as I got an exam on Monday! :D Gametag 'Porsche993turbo' Thanks!
-
1M for me so I can be drift god. Mine in orange please. I like the Audi 5-pot turbo engine but would rather have it in the TT-RS (or Corrado transplant! :D)

That was me, hello mate! My first 'spotted' too! Your Storm looks mint! Mine only looks good from afar! :D
-
Looking good! Very jealous! :) Did you have to get new window seals and did they manage to use the same ones?

Renshaw project (probably going to sell / swap)

Was it your car that I spotted on 23rd Sept in north Brighton? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44058-Corrado-Spotting!-Was-it-you/page346 ---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:34 PM ---------- ^^^ Ok it's a no. Yours is 'ABY' not 'ADY'. :D -
How mint is the paintwork! Very nice.

Like everybody here I LOVE my car but everything has a price. I reckon if I was offered £4k I would gladly take it!
-
For how much CASH would you be happy to sell your car, TODAY, at its current state?
-
Very nice and very sensible upgrades. I like everything about it; well, apart from the de-badged grill but then I’m a purist! :)
-
^^^ I knew you wouldn’t be able to keep your car standard for more than five minutes! :) Andy – lovely car, love the blue/beige colour combo! And the POWWWWEERRRRR!!
-
Your old car got turbo though! :) It worked out I used just over one tank of fuel on track. Yes mine has got standard springs and shocks (rears are new); brakes resisted fade well enough (288 fronts). The format was ‘open pit lane’ but I stuck to the '20-min on track, 20-min cool down regime’. Car really handled well, quick steering with good feel, I can’t fault it! Who says FWD can’t be fun?!?

Four more pics taken by MSV photographer…

It was really good mate! My first time at Bedford and it’s an excellent venue. Event was well run; track traffic was light throughout with no stoppage. Good mix of motors there including no fewer than three GTRs, two Nobles, a Gallardo, a 968CS, many Elises, Boxsters, MX5s, M3s etc. I had two sessions with an instructor and that was money well spent. Car managed 13.4 mpg in 206miles (including 12-mile round trip to local Shell) and I did about 75 laps. My friend Jon (experienced track-day driver who runs a stripped out CLK55 AMG) took my car out for a brief session and he was very impressed with the Corrado. I even received complements from a Nissan GTR driver. Some pics taken by Jon: ps, big thanks to JMR (16VG60) who helped me sorting out my stuck-opened sunroof.

Bedford Autodrome SEN circuit – 2.3 mile (29/10/11) 13.4 mpg, 206 miles including 12-mile round trip to Shell station. 75 laps on track by me.

Very neat installation but then I expected nothing less from you! :)

So standard VR6 = 190bhp and 1240kg = 153bhp per tonne; R32 Corrado with all the trimmings about 1300kg(?) and with 320 target bhp = 246bhp per tonne In other words, FUN!!! :D
-
Kev, how much do you think the weight difference is between a VR6 corrado and a R32 corrado? (assuming drivetrain etc the same)
-
Nice! The detailer is in Sussex so not far from me!
