  1. My pre-order copy from GAME still has not arrived.
  2. Nice one! One of my favorite family cars!
  3. +1 It’s disposable! Cars are my hobby and if I didn’t have a Corrado I would have spent it on other cars anyway.
  4. I find BMC a bit too ‘angry’! I prefer standard airbox. Signed* ‘old’ dude :)
  5. No worries mate, let me know if you’re doing any next year; always good to see another Corrado on track!
  6. Do it! It's the last day of British summer time! MSV runs good events too, I went to Brands Hatch with them back in February. I've signed up for the 'full day'.
  7. I paid £60 for mine last month from a Canadian ebay seller. I haven't opened the box yet. Has anyone tried to repaint it to the same colour as your own car? If so, please post some pics! Also, is it easy to do? I'm a noob! :D
  8. Cadwell is next on my list, along with Snetterton and Anglesey. I want to visit all of the UK major tracks (but not 'power tracks' such as Silverstone, I will go to 'power tracks' when I have a faster car), but I also want to save up and do a ‘ring track day next year. I’ll go to Cadwell once I got better tyres; didn’t want to take any chances with my P6000s in case it’s wet October. :) I saw 134 degree on ‘spirited drive’! :D
  9. Only a novice here. I did 130 miles at Brands Hatch in February, about 105 laps. It was open pitlane and I went out 15-20minutes at a time. Standard car with standard wheels and 288mm front brakes. Fronts with part-worn Runway and rears with part-worn Toyo T1S. Damp condition in the morning and dry in the afternoon. Temp about 15 degree (?). At the time the discs and pads had done just over 5,250miles. I didn’t experience much fade although towards the end of the day the front right started to grumble and smoked quite a bit. The tyres were shot though at the end of the day. Oil temp never got higher than 128 degree. I’m going to Bedford at the end of this month and the car is still wearing the same discs/pads (though with new brake fluid). I was temped to go to Cadwell rather than Bedford but I didn’t want to take any chances as the car has old discs/pads and also the fronts have P6000s. Didn’t want to put too much faith in October DRY weather! Bedford should be fine with huge run-off area and fairy flat. Standard car must seem very slow for you then! Have fun!
  10. I’m going to this; anyone interested in joining me? http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/event-details.aspx?productid=1010
  11. Looks ace! What a rare colour!
  12. Works completed by JMR (16VG60), 23rd Sept 2011 – 86,246miles -New heater matrix -New bulkhead gasket -Replaced heater control unit (used part) -New clutch slave cylinder -Oil and filter changed -2 x new fuel hose -New ignition switch Should be a carefree winter.... :)
  13. M***ADY, dark blue (aqua?) VR6 parked up at Moulsecoomb, North Brighton. Standard looking with speedlines. Yesterday 2.30pm(?)
  14. :( Gutted for you. Hope you get a good payout.
  15. It’s actually not so bad. I had loads of fun at Brands Hatch back in February. Sure it’s not as quick as the Focus STs and Mk5 Golf Gtis but I still had a great time. The front pads were smoking a bit towards the end of the day but apart from that it was flawless the whole day (about 108 laps of Indy circuit). It was wearing old dampers (since then fitted new rear dampers) and ditchfinders at the front. The only upgrade was 288mm fronts and Jetex exhaust. My car is in the workshop this week for a new heater matrix and a few things, if all goes well I should be going to Bedford track day at the end of October.
  16. I'm glad I'm not the only one who spends loads on the car! £2500 in yr 1 excluding fuel, tax and insurance. Car looks standard excluding wheels. Would love to have the car respray but that could easily be another £2k!
  17. Bodywork looks really clean! Love silver Corrado. Two thumbs up!
  18. Got a Jetex too (3-box); love it! It’s interesting to see both of our cars are similar in terms of ‘relatively low mileage’ yet still require to have similar works done. I think you mentioned yours is just under 75000 miles; mine had 76000 miles when I bought it in April 2010 and now it’s just over 86000 miles. Auxiliary water pump was one of the very first things got replaced on my car as it was well knackered! Then I upgraded the brakes, new Jetex, new rear dampers etc. I’ve booked in my car for a new heater matrix next week. All these works are not cheap but hey, my car is my luxury! Good luck!
  19. Red 16V K-reg parked up at Brighton seafront on Saturday. You must be there watching the speed trials. You also had a Brighton and Hove FC sticker on your windscreen.
  20. How did I miss this? :( Onwards and upwards Kev! All the best.
  21. One of my favorite cars of the forum! Hope to go to the ‘ring in the near future but in organized track day rather than Touristenfahrten.
  22. Happens to me too though not often! One of those VR6 mysteries!
