So what do you do to the handbrake to get less travel in the brake pedal?? Losen it, or tighten it up?? T.
-
Bend them slightly and there is no problem. No point in wasting money on TT dust shields. T.

Adjusted it very slighty when I lowered it and adjusted it again when I put the 312mm brakes on, as it started to squim a bit under heaving (I mean heavy) breaking after installing them. Little bit of adjustment and it was fine. The rear bias may have something to do with it, but theres always a lot of travel anyway. Once I driven it for 5 minutes I'm used to it. T.

Agree with the comments about the g60 brakes. They are much better than the vr's. My Dad's g60 doesn't have ABS which I think helps. Dont think i'll bother wasting any money on braided hoses. Saves the having to bleed the entire lot, which I hate doing with a passion. Might try the 312mm setup on the bora when I finally get it chipped. Its already got the 288mm as standard so it would be an easy swap. T.

Been searching on the forum to find out where to get braided hoses from and found quite a few quotes saying its barely worth the hassle. I've got 312mm brakes on my corrado and I'm fed up with the total lack of inital bite. Jumping from the bora to the corrado is a knightmare! breath on the boras brake pedal and they come on nicely. Jump in the corrado and drive around and I touch the brakes and I have a panic as I need to go 1/4 travel before anything substantial happens. I know its an old car and all that, just want intial bite to be better. What about some different pads as opposed to the brake hoses? Cheers T.

Eventually bought one a few months ago. Good way of hiding the age a the Corrado, because alot of people dont believe my vr is 12 year old!! T.

I had the problem with the splash guards too. Panicked at bit when they scraped as I thought I had done something wrong or got the wrong discs :( Just bent them back a bit and they were fine. Those 312's can really rip your insides braking hard. Only stamped on the brakes a few times. Its rather painful. T.

Not gonna get into a debate, but I reckon you want to point the finger at the governement not the Police. T.

Bit harsh comments about the Police there. Lucky to get out onto the streets with the amount of paper work that has to be done these days. T.

previous post of mine:- Its not difficult, just a bit fiddely. One thing I did was undo the front engine mount and jack up the engine, gives a little more room in there and makes getting the rad out a bit easier. It is a tight fit though but it can be done. It took me just over an hour to do it. I think battery out first, undo the coolant pipes, take out the lights (lets you see alot better), remove the plastic grill, then undo the radiator/fan bolts. Then slide out the fan unit. (its worse to get out than the radiator!!) then out comes the rad. Easy as that. Think there is a proper right up somewhere on the forum, have a search and you might find it. Its worth gettting a new temp sensor for the radiator too and mine was fecked!! almost fell apart trying to unscrew it from the rad. Dont forget some G12+ coolant!!

Dont let anyone tell you to take the slam panel off. Cos you dont need too. Try searching as there is articles around that helped me change mine when it went. Its not difficult, just a wee bit tight getting the radiator out. Just undo the front engine mount and one of the rears and jack it up to the sky and you can slip the old rad out and the new rad in. T.

ohh................. 9 points!!! You must be driving soooo carefully at the minute. When do some of the points come off?? In the near future?? T.
-
old boy?? cheeky!! Glad you got it sorted. T.

yes, yes and yes to all those questions. You need the 3 wire one gsf: 93004 LAMBDA PROBE General Use 3 WIRE UNIVERSAL 29.75 It comes with all the right bits needed to waterproof it. T.
-
£80.... thats sounds about right. I put a generic one from gsf onto my Dads g60 and have had no problems with it at all. Its totally up to you. It was having running problems at the time and I couldn't pin point exactly what the problem was. Hence why I didn't want to shell out £80 for something that might not have fixed it. Turns out that the lambda probe had been incorrectly wired by a garage that replaced the lambda probe for the previous owner!!! Muppets. T.
-
you could get a generic one from gsf for less money. Involves a bit of soldering but its not too difficult. T.
-
not an option for me. They are miles away.
-
P.S. The lambda probe isn't earthed on a G60 (unlike the VR). The only thing thats earth is the probe connector harness thats near the rear engine mount. T.
