I've messed about with the barrel a bit. Its just damn annoying. Get to a junction, need the window opened or close:- Have to open the fecking door and then do it. I think i'll be using the old sunroof for fresh air for the moment. Unless its gives up the ghost too! T.

Well, as of this morning my electric windows only work if I have the driver's side door open. This is reguardless of whether I have the engine running or not. Strange or what? I've had a look at the wee door switch and its connections. Nothing visually wrong with it at all. I suspect its some kind or earth issue. Oh, by the way the interior light stills comes on with opening the door and goes off after closing it. T.

Installed 312mm discs, got it MOT'd, Taxed and Insured. Just need to bed the hew discs in and see how good they really are! :) T.

maybe the valve stem seals are on their way out. That is quite a bit of oil being consumed. T.

current:- 195/50 R15 Diameter:- 576mm Circumference:- 1809.56mm new:- 195/50 R15 Diameter:- 556.5mm Circumference:- 1748.29mm Difference: -3.39% which is -19.5mm less in diameter and -61.27mm in circumference. Speedo reads 70mph, actual speed is 67.63mph But your speedo will read over the actual true speed with the standard tyres. You can usually go + or - 2.5% difference without affecting gearing and speedo. But since you are going to smaller wheels it shouldn't be too much of a problem. T.

There's little programs on the web for working it out. I'll try and have a wee search. T.

You will be going slower with the smaller wheels relative to the larger ones. But you'll get marginally better acceleration :) T.

Are superchip chips for the G60 any good? I've just discovered that my Dad's G60 has a superchip chip. I'm just a little concerned as it also has a 68mm pulley on it and wondered if they are compatible? Cheers T.

When we first got the G60 it had had a new lambda probe installed a few months previously using a fair bit of soldering and black insulating tape. After it started running a bit crap I realised that the probe had been wired up wrong!!! :shock: And that was only after I had bought another one already and fitted it. Hence the spare lambda probe. T.

No haven't tried it. No need too! There's nothing wrong with the probe on the VR (I hope). I was just interested, that's all. I do wonder if it would work though. The only difference is in the earth wiring. The vr one has the earth go all the way to the sensor. Where as the g60's earth wire stops at the bracket where the connector is and it used to earth it to the metal bracket that the connector is attached to. T.

Fitted one side today. Disc is perfectly central with 3 washers (2mm thick). Does it have to be perfectly central or is a little bit of centre ok? I also found the new discs were just scrapping the metal guard for the disc. Bent that back a little and it was spot on! There aint much room between the disc and the bit where the carrier bolts on. Knat's wisker springs to mind. They do look rather nice though. Trying to decide whether to take it apart again and paint the carrier and caliper. Black or red??? What do you reckon? Cheers T.

Does G60 and VR6 have the same lambda probe?? Just I have a genuine spare lambda probe for my Dad's G60 and wondered if it was any use on the VR. Cheers T.

I reckon that kind of speed can be nearly justified in special circumstances. I.e. In serious emergencies, i.e. RTA's, the Police are usually first on the scene by many minutes and often provide 'First' Aid until the Ambulance arrives. I think, when it comes to peoples lives, then higher than legal speeds should not be a problem. Its like learning the limit of the car. Its good to know the limit of the car, not only speed but handling so that when it comes to an emergency etc you know where the limit is. 160mph is a little too fast. Simon.

I have been informed today that only 28 nugget yellow g60s (in rhd form) were imported into this country!!!! Yikes!!!!!!!!!! Lucky if there is 20 left. T.

The VR tends to get through mobil 1 oil rather quickly. Its just soo damn expensive. If you want to used modil 1 make sure to get the 15w 50 as the 0w40 is just too thin. T.
