  1. Thats god awful!!!!!!!  Timo.
  2. Good, glad you got it sorted. T.
  3. G12+ plus works fine with the blue stuff. Make sure you dont get G12 only stuff as that'll cause problem. How clean is your old coolant? you could some some flushing stuff, or just run a hose into the expansion tank wait untill the whole system is filled with clean water and start the engine. Leave the drain plug off so the water drains straight out. I just reused the OE clips, they are a pain to undo. No harm in replacing them with jubilee clips. OE clips never seem to rust though which Jubileees seem to do eventually. Timo.
  4. Just been in contact with the relevant constabulary and because you dont drive a Corrado anymore I/they will not let you get off with it. Sorry mate but I did tell you not to sell the rado, my hands are tied, there's nothing I can do now!! Timo. P.S. What a load of B.S. not a copper yet Kev, few months to wait for that yet

    Brakes

Just found what you mean. Cheers Henny. I'll need to get them ordered when I get a chance. Bet they're a pig to change!? Good old russian site saves the day again, why VW cant do that in this country is anyones guess! http://www.elcats.ru T.

    Brakes

13 year old. rear cylinders? is that like the whole drums or something else? Ta Timo.
  8. sounds like the a seal or seals have gone. Nothing to worry about really. Obviously you're getting it serviced so there's no need for that to be recommended. I had the same with my charger. Lots of grey oily crap coming out. When I got the charger off and opened it, yes it was quite dirty inside and took some cleaning, but the condition of it was spot on. The oil in it could also be coming from the crankcase breather through the boost return. So the seals might be alright! Hope that helps Timo.

    Brakes

The brakes on my Polo are utter crap!!! Firstly there's a lot of travel in the pedal before anything substantial happens but as it reaches the end of its travel, they come in strong. This only happens if you depress the brake pedal slowly! If you're travelling along and stamp on the brakes they work quite well. Alot less travel and come in strong quickly! I've bleed the fronts (cant bleed the drums at the back cos I snapped one bleed screw off and the other is seized! ), also change the front pads. I'm guessing there must still be air in the system. Oh, I've checked the operation of the brake servo (according to haynes) and its fine. Anyone got any suggestions? air in the rear part of the system? cheers T.
  10. Yup, quite a few have them. Mine has it and I have no air con. T.
  11. Ingenius!!! Sounds like its duff to me. Temp sender on my Dad's G60 is exactly the same. Always read 10-15 degrees under. Definitely nothing wrong anywhere else in the system so we just put up with it. T.
  12. I'm off to the scrappy this morning, better have what I want!!! 8) T.
  13. Gutted for you Nikki. After all your hard work for some piece of human sh&te who cant get a job who thnks they can come and steal a car you've have spent you hard legally earnt money, makes me want to puke all over their face. I f&cking hate people like that, does my head in. Who do they think they are? If I caught anyone messing with my car I think I would probably end up getting arrested if nothing else. God that really annoys me!!! Cant you tell?? So wee local twats vandalised our fence the other day. I was raging!! and that was only a fence! Timo.
  14. who won?? only have a modem. It'll take me days to download  Timo.
  15. do you need the calipers and carriers too then? I guessing thats a yes Timo.
  16. How come the mk3 golf front disc is bigger than the VR. What version of golf is that off. Will/does the 288 make much difference over the 280. Always fancied brembo but they are just to fecking expensive. Like the sound of slightly bigger brakes without the need for modding. Timo.
  17. Its not too bad to change. Bit fidely to get at but not difficult! Never changed it but I've had the thermostat housing off several times when I had a leak! Timo.
  18. Sound's like mine really i don't think there's anything wrong with it though .The heater seem's to warm up okay on mine . I think you need to bridge diagonally across the multi plug to make the gauge read full ,if you bridge it one way the coolant run on pump should opperate and the other way should make the gauge read full scale  ,i'm sure someone will come along to confirm this...... sounds about right to me! Timo.
