Absolute shocker...put GT4 in me PS2 at the weekend, only to be confronted with a message telling me the save game data is corrupted! I was about 20% through and now I have to start from the beginning again...bugger!

Took my car to a garage in Glasgow last night to get the camber & tracking looked at. The guy came out to have a look at the tyres for wear and commented on how nice the car was and the fact that there aren't many Corrados about anymore. Shucks!

Cheers Kev, I'll just have to wait until I start taking her to pieces to find out the extent of the damage! :)

Uses a little oil, but nothing excessive. I only ever notice smoke if the engine's been on overrun shortly before. I'm waiting on parts arriving from the States for an engine rebuild, but was hoping I wouldn't have to go down the whole rebore & new pistons route... It wouldn't be sulphur from the cat, ain't got one! :)

I don't notice it really, but my friend mentioned it when he was following me the other day. Could this be down to the valve stem oil seals? I already have my doubts about them, but what else might it be? Many thanks!

Dark blue Rado heading north over Kingston Bridge in Glasgow on Monday night, reg K** SLY. I was in my mate's red Fiesta ST...anyone?

Given the choice between Magnex and Supersprint, which would you go for? I appreciate that the Supersprint systems are good quality, but surely in terms of longevity, a Magnex system would be better?
-
I thought a lot of the Supersprint stuff was mild steel, with only some back boxes made from stainless? Has this changed?

My VR has 'the' cutting out problem, and is affectionately referred to as 'slut' every time it happens! :) Love her really...

I can see why you've been tempted, the Corrado's styling isn't a patch on that! :)

Hi there, I'm considering replacing the springs on my current suspension setup, which is the Bilstein Sprintline kit (IIRC), as they're a bit crashy. I'm not really interested in going the whole hog and getting top adjustable shocks, so I was wondering if these would be any good. Any advice greatly appreciated! :) Cheers.

We'll have to try & arrange some sort of get-together for the Glasgow chapter of the Corrado Forum!
-
Just over the Kingston Bridge basically. Where do you take your car to get any work done? Me old man's a mechanic, but he's going to be about 40 miles away as of Friday and my tool kit isn't that extensive! :)
-
Whereabouts in Glasgow are you roughly?
-
I'm moving back through to Glasgow on Friday, I'll have to keep an eye out for you! :)

Makes a change from throwing money at your Rado! I had the inlet manifold and rocker cover off mine at the weekend to have a wee gander at the breather section and to see what state the chains and upper tensioner pad were in. Got a sheared ARB link as well, the joys!
-
I'm only at about 11%, but I just got the Mk1 Golf last night. How cool does it want to be!?! :)

There's been oil leaking from the rocker cover breather section on my VR, so today I decided to investigate! The only thing I can find in there is a tiny coil of wire... Is there supposed to be anything else in the breather section? Oil seems to be able to work its way up the hose and into the throttle body fairly easily. Sorry about the pictures, don't know how to put them in between lines of text... Any help greatly appreciated, Rado is in bits right now! :)

Wonder if the new 3.6 V6 would fit in a Corrado... :)
-
Got my copy at the weekend, its brilliant! First thing I did was take a Dodge Charger round the Nurburgring, talk about tail-happy! :) Has anybody else noticed that the screen goes a bit blurry when you're about to have a particularly bad accident?
-
Is it just me that thinks that works quite well?! :)

On Average how many miles you doing a year in your C
tug replied to Dub Style's topic in General Car Chat
I bought the car in October 2003 with 112K on the clock, its now reading 131K! I work that out to roughly 13,500miles a year... :( -
Nah, but I'd like to at some point! Just looks a little too fiddly for my liking... :)

I had to take the door cards off to change the front speakers on my Rado. Not a difficult thing to do, only held on by a few screws and then they lift off tabs at the bottom of the door. You'll have to unscrew the door pins too. Another thing worth mentioning is that the wiring to the original speakers have plugs fitted to the ends. I had to cut them off and crimp on connectors to fit my new speakers.
