steveo29 replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in Drivetrain
why not sell it they go for good money...and then buy one that fits well -
my local one wont sell to me good deals if you can get em though

a few of you mentioned the metal to metal contact on the pivot ive found this place does bushes for a few quid , i plan to drill the tower and fit a couple of those , should be a tad less play too edit forgot the link lol http://www.bearingboys.co.uk/?catid=163 ... tt3=&att4=

doubt its the clutch ...sounds like a internal problem have you checked the oil level?
-
the beam brackets do have enough slop so that they can be losened and tweaked to alter the alignment doubt many places would want to do it , but its possible
-
always clifford ones on ebay some are 12v ones in the clifford bezel...or i think original ones are 3-4v ish?
-
have you checked the timing and fuel mixture? maybe a fuel pressure check ? might just be tired ...they aint that fast compared to some stuff
-
there is no locking tool for these if its right now and you do a good job then you shouldnt need to mess with the dizzy timing , although its never a bad idea to check that its right
-
right anyone instrested in getting one done in leather can contact uel_friedman@hotmail.co.uk can be done via post if your not local
-
yeah idle stabiliser valve =isv
-
id just go with discs from gsf , theyre well priced , get the plugs there too gearlinkage...plenty of info in the drivetrain section airfilter...standard ones are fine you could also consider rotor arm and dizzy cap has it any history of cam belt or aux belt? rocker swap..nothing much else in that area , you could take a look at the fuel hoses for cracking and leaks and clean out the isv , theyre both in the same area bushes...theyre probably all well worn now , depends if you can afford to replace them all or just leave it until they knock or fail the mot
-
yeah we was talking about the non leather ones , were assuming theyre the same under the leather ? depends what style wheel i guess pop one round to him if you like see if he can do it...can also do coloured stitching too i believe
