chances are the mounts have gone soft over the years...they all need replacing by now best not bother with a dump valve, the recric delete kit just vents to air and gives a similar effect anyway...infact its rather noisey so consider that if youre not into loud cars, ive chose to keep mine all there as i couldnt stand the noise
-
normal thread...they are very tight though chances are you will need someone on the brakes with it in gear...and a pole on the bar
-
yep universal ones are poo keep an eye on ebay for a genuine one
-
if youre buying a new chip , id suggest a sns one
-
no it dont sound normal the lumpy idle could be a air leak around the inj or inlet ..has it had new service parts like leads n rotor arm etc?
-
what are niplex pliers?
-
cant say i noticed the slightest differance when i decated my g60 remeber the supersprint decat has a built in silencer...something to consider if you dont want a loud car

the actual gearbox and most of the bits should be identicle you will need a hyd clutch pipe and speedo for the car its going into -
id just roar loads of brake fluid through it
-
any garage should be able to bleed a gallon of fluid though it for cheap or get a easy bleeder and try it yourself if it really is contaminated , and the flushing yields a improvement i think i would flush it again after a month to be sure its all ship shape
-
sounds a bit strong ...surley its worth £15 and run a gallon of fluid through it and see how it improves
-
yeah i did mine...sump off and do one at a time took less than 2 hrs and thats rolling about in the street lol
-
i think its the whole set from gsf/ecp for that price i went for vag ones to be sure
-
ign switches are fairly common failiures it could also be the starter kill bit on the imobiliser

Brake pedal has excessive travel after fitting MK4 rear cali
steveo29 replied to corrado g's topic in Drivetrain
i had hell of a job bleeding mine when i fitted mk4 calipers...couldnt get it right with a easy bleed in the end a pressure bleeder at a garage sorted it in minutes -
prob swap a non elec subframe on if thats what you want
-
elec seats are a bit daft really...alot of extra weight and its not like you zoom the seats up n down or tilt them all the time heated would have been a better more useable option
-
For me these dont get any better, but what do they come with adjustment wise? Rallye ones have electric back tilt only, the rest is manual - no idea what colours they came in. rallye ones are elec height ajust only , and only came in black leather with cloth centers, they fetch top $$ and are pretty as they were only a option on rallyes
-
vr6 clutches fit iirc
-
my mk2 polo hasnt got a section like ..and ive not seen one in a mk2 before
-
davidwort was looking them up and tells me the white plastic tube and the metal braket vary between the two cars...cables and stick are same just trying to sweeten the gearshift on my golf...
-
davektm its gona be second hand now, i dont think the stealer has the whole set anymore as some are obselete
-
nothing much to it really...it can be done with the charger on the car pulley off, airbox off for access etc then line up the 2 notches at 12 oclcok with the marks in the casing....belt off, new one on...rotate it a few turns and double check the marks are still good put the pulley and other bits and done
