plating wont hide any pits or nasty bits, if theres defects that wont sand out you might have to powder coat it

makes me wonder if dodgy leads could affect the signal for the timing light? thing is if you set it up staticly it should run decent , just not spot on ...i cant see it causing random problems

i have a 68mm and mine sets up okay, also had the setting confirms by pitstop

have you tried a second timing light? i had one that made the marks move around a bit

timing shouldnt cause a misfire id look for a air leak or inj trouble

i need some help wiring a mk3 heated seat loom (1997) onto a mk2 heated seat switch some of the wires are the same...some not, i need to know what to do about the ones that dont match heres my plug from a mk3 heres what the mk2 switch plug looks like...i dont own this so i cant test/use it :oops: :roll: :oops:

my rallye seats were leather front and rear (except the cloth bit lol) my mk3 colour concept recaros are vynil on all sides and rear ...cheap sods

its not odd at all for a jabba unit to fail at low miles ...lots of us have had problems where did you get the seal from...not any old seal will do

special pliers for them clips...or try vice grips -
our polo randomly spat out a plug and all the thread in the head were gone...£28 for a helicoil and all is well again

depends how theyre treated and serviced...150k or more shouldnt be a problem for a cared for engine

what are irwin bolt grippers then studley? -
the 50mm is interchangable on all 16v engines....so you could always swap it back n forth to see what you like best imo its not going to transform the car into a firbreathing beast or anything..more of a subtle differance

£200 is more like diy /mates rates i dont think its gona be cheap to pay a garage to remove two engines and refit one along with new clutch, waterpump, cam belt etc -
im looking for a heated seat loom for 1996 golf seats...a 1997 passat has come up are they likey to be same similar?? all cetral electric ?

who's to say a £100 ebay car will have a better engine? chances are it will need some new bits n bobs anyway how many miles has your engine done -
