yeah you only get minimal spillage...soak it up on a old rag
  4. id suggest you stay away from jabba...unless things have changed recently their parts are less than top quality when i looked for a kit...either german ebay or kompressor canada would have them
  5. de wedged tb makes em jerky and jumpy at low speed on/off driving....i got fed up and changed mine back
  6. wheres the noise from? tappets /cam chain/ loose belt maybe or a rattle exh heat shield
  7. get a big bar on it...it might snap the stud but at least you deal with it on the bench once its off if the nut rounds off badly , get some irwin bolt grippers from machine mart if youre really stuck maybe i'll come round and bust it off ...i got plenty of heavy duty stuff and a impact gun
  8. the limiter on kr is a dead cut...feels like youve snapped something happens at 7200 on mine
  9. sns chips have the limiter moved up so that its not so easy to hit it, as hitting the limiter will damage the charger ( this doesnt mean you can safely rev past the red line) maybe a timing issue? id check the static timing and ign timing, and set the c/o pot to 450 ohms and see how it goes
  10. yeah redline mt90 would another great choice, i guess the vw stuff is good value if you can get a discount at the dealer
  11. Cheers, that sounds like the right course of action to me too. Is MT90 thicker/better than MTL? mt90 is the correct spec for your box..slightly thicker i think g60s take 2 quarts...not sure if vr6 is the same?
  12. i think thats the exicitor wire...it kinda tells the alt when to charge and not that would cause the non charging you mention
  13. use the flywheel tdc mark its more accurate the top mark is on the inside of the cam pully and it lines up with the top of the head the intershaft has a mark that lines up with the bottom pulley...also make sure its lined uo with the notch on the dizzy theres some pics on here if you try a seach
  14. car trailor and a tank of juice would have it at g werks, he'd have all the spares to try on it and diagnose the problem without buying random parts
  15. you want redline mt 90 for a corrado i think id go with new oil , ajust the cables and bleed the clutch for starters
  16. anyone got any ideas? ive searches all the forums i can think of :(
  17. you dont sand it until it gets furry but yeah ...it does make the surface smooth again, i found a few areas on mine werent perfect so i built it up with dye and gave it another gentle sand with fine paper then another coat
  18. yeah im still happy with mine i would personaly take the seat out and dismantle it as much as i can, that way you can make sure its all cleaned up right and the the re dye goes all the way to the edges, and it willl save any spills on the carpets etc just take some time to properly clean and sand the leather
  19. its a used set im fitting...i havent really managed to get either working yet both seats give a differant ohms reading on the meter, so im guessing one is duff but id like some pointers on what readings to expect etc
  20. pretty sure when pitstop did mine he plugged it back in at idle
  21. i think i may have a suspect heat sensor in my heated seat is there a test i can do with a multimeter? what reading should i expect if it has failed can i source another from maplins or suchlike??
  22. im not painting cars anymore id trust andy at a.k bodycraft in fordham nr newmarket
  23. Steve's got an Edition One tho... (He just hangs about on the CF wishing he had a proper car! ) at least mine runs under its own steam
  24. orig chargers had a scribed in number along the top...might be that
  25. yes very happy with it all he did say he would match the gloss level and colour if i wanted to send it in...might be best if you have any doubts at all, and theres no extra charge except the return posty on your item
