no..its no a faulty isv...it goes to 2500 on start up then gently settles to 1100 ish wouldnt the c/o need to be miles out to cause that?..anyway it idles at 900 with the isv disconected

yeah thats what i mean...so judging by you mine revs way too hard anyone know how to alter it?

my 16v kr seems to rev hard on cold starts sinse it got colder ...it will rev to 2500 ish on every cold start,it then settles to 1100 after a few seconds..a few people said its normal but it seems too much?? what does yours rev to on a cold start? ive checked isv,temp senders,flap height in airbox,thottle switch,idle set up cheers for any help

it shouldnt be using much if all is well....the rings probably didnt seal well,are you using stnthetic oil? if yes thats the prob

when phoning around for tyres..ask how 1 is,if they say £55 each ,i always go "can you do 4 for a disc?" usually they haggle a bit

visually it had shaped areas around the plugs and its fatter...you may find a little more top end power

my guage reads half after 50-80 miles...makes it look like heavy consumption ..next time you fill up zero the trip meter...next time note how many liters to fill it...work out your true useage...the mfa aint always great although 30-32 seems about as good as they get

well you'l make few youngsters unhappy here..17 yo driving a g60 :lol: anyway the shifters are a bit poo..try loosening the cables at the box..then wiggle the shifter and re tighten,it may take a few trys to improove things i think theres an article on the net somewhere describing it better

my clutch gives a little judder ,only after its been standing outside in damp weather ..and only on the first one or two pull aways it doesnt do it when its being driven dailey or in the summer anybody experiance this..im assuming the lining just gets damp on it? ..btw no oil leaks etc

yeah...well i dont lol...ive worked at the same garage for 4 years and our sun tuner has never been used,our "mechanics" just replace bits for new uns shame really..id like to know how to use it

sorry im in south east england...its a golf g60 as far as im aware they dont have diag sockets..well it does have the socket but when i was at the dealer it wouldnt talk to their comp

ok im willing to try the hall sender in an effort to smooth this 5k flat we all seem have...anyone know a source other than vw..cant seem to find em on gsf/ecp thanks

toby..yeah its a bit steep for a maybe? can we all list what new and whats not on our engines mine.... new plugs(proper exp ones) ,leads,cap,arm lambda sensor fuel filter red inj bosch fpr new batt/alt cables..inc all earths all boost pipes checked for leaks /damage sns chip whats not new... c/o pot hall sender knock sensor PLEASE LIST WHATS NEW/OLD ON YOUR ENGINE lets get this sorted
