The difference in diameter of a 195/50/15 to 205/40/16 is -1% where as 205/45/16 is +2.6% so 40 profile is closer.

They are mint condition as they were already good when I bought them but I wanted them mint so I had them refurbed and powder coated in original hyper silver by lepsons in swindon at a cost of £300 and for which I have the receipt. I also replaced the centre caps with genuine chrome bbs. The tyres are 205/40/16 toyo and have done less than 2000 miles. 6mm front 7mm rear. £600 collection only. I think an r32 sump and oil pump is what you're looking for, people have mention them on here before, it's a more shallow sump so should give you more clearance. Don't like the sound of mounting the engine on hockey pucks, what about the manifold, cooling hoses and gear cables etc. Although there is very minimal clearance with a vr corrado anyway as vw had to modify the bonnet to get that lump in.

Agreed on the lack of soul compared to a VR, but with a Miltek, remap, and forge twintake an E30 GTI is a mouthwatering prospect for me right now. I enjoyed my mk5 gti most driving to Paris last year. Although I do NOT condone the sale of the Storm Andy. You won't find a nicer one with all the crucial mods yours had had.

It is quite common for faulty or worn injectors to be fine from cold but cause hot starting issues. Definitely sounds like a fuel system delivery issue.

Spend a bit more andy and you can get a lovely MK5 gti and the 2.0Tfsi is an entirely more appealing prospect than the 1.8t. It is just a monster engine when remapped with K04 turbo, or without for that matter :)

Yeah unfortunately the way to make the bonus (and keep your job) is to gun everything up and so a torque wrench obsessive like me ends up being made redundant. It's laughable really :(

A driving instructor came who's lease company had a servicing contract with kwik fit came in to us with a running concern, said he'd just had a 37.5k service (all filters) checked his air filter - dirty as hell, pollen filter - dirty. No filters had been changed! We couldn't even acertain that they had changed his oil as it was diesel. Just show's that they are all about bashing car's out KWIK. I would not even entertain them, they are a disgrace, although in fairness there must be guys at some branches that take pride in their work. ---------- Post added at 11:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:29 PM ---------- Pretty much all main dealers are bonus driven on hours sold, and customer satisfaction targeted by the manufacturer, as you can no doubt guess this does not work and leads to some awful workmanship and unhappy customers. When I need tyres I check online and then ask how close the local place (malvern tyres) can get and they are normally within £5 per tyre.

I've been thinking that but today I made the effort to wash it and it always makes me smile when I chamois it off and it's gleaming from all those layers of wax :) It was literally caked in crap then....BAM...super shiny. I think to be honest most other cars in the same price bracket are just as likely to go wrong and a whole lot less interesting.

I sold my first Corrado, bought a Mk5 gti then sold that for another Corrado exactly the same as the first....so yes, yes I do.
