Oh sorry, adjustable please :)
-
After a late column cowling with securing piece intact and good condition window scraper seals. Cheers Lewis

I think Andy (CazzaVR) got a brand new one from the dealers. Not sure how much but looks great.

Just watched MAMA, quite creepy with some jumpy bits but certainly not up there with Del Toro's best (pans labyrinth :) ) 7/10

Very nice, just got some rad brackets from dave, it's great stuff eh?

This ISV has given me trouble before! I'm definitely turfing him out! However at £268+vat trade from TPS I think i'll give Ians a try. Cheers Ian :)

On saturday morning got about 50 metres from my house and the engine cut out very sharply then wouldn't restart. Pushed it home and tried again 20 mins later and it started. Switched off and it wouldn't restart. Scanned it yesterday no codes (apart from crank sensor but it wasnt running). Battery went flat from cranking so jumped it tonight and it started but idled at 2000rpm until warm but won't drop past 1500. No codes when running. I have changed the isv damper chamber and cleaned out the isv about 2000 miles ago. This sounds isv related though does it not?

Ordered timing chains from GSF, I was told they were both Febi but when they arrived the top chain was Topran. I didn't know if it was any good so I rejected it. Is it a decent manufacturer?
-
Andy's bearing seized up and melted his pulley, but I think it was noisy for a while. This just looks like it was brittle and snapped, was it a genuine part as I think you can get non genuine pulleys on their own.
-
I think we have winner, what state is your belt in then?
-
Looks like a piece of alternator pulley. Didn't think they were plastic though, and surely it would chucked the belt off?
-
Mine all lined up no problem, I would suggest you take it off and have a play with it before you commit to refitting the engine. It sounds like you want it to be spot on as most of us would. You have to put the top cover in place with the tensioner in once you have aligned the marks before you turn it over and recheck it, I know its a pain but this may be the issue, ie; chain taking up slack (although I doubt the cams would have lined up either if that were the case)
-
Is it 3mm off with the chains tensioned? As far as i'm aware if the intermediate shaft isn't bang on then the timing will be slightly out.
