Anyone having problems with the site freezing?
VR6 Gar replied to leon263's topic in Site Comments and Questions
I have had a problem with private messages on my phone where it causes firefox to crash, rest of the site still works fine. -
That would probably explain it, although both people that contacted me are members on here too. And they both said they were going to speak to you about it. Cheers Graeme.

For 1 week only £750 +p+p. Would like this to sell before I go on holiday so for this week till Sunday 7th Sept it is £750. After that it is going back up to £800.
-
Yep, the one on the right is definitely not as nice as the other, mainly the horn push. Cheers.
-
Got a couple of wheels to sell and when I went to take a photo I noticed they were different. Both were in VRs but only 1 was defo original to the car(left one) so wondered if the one on the right came in G60s/ different models or if there were 2 different types for VRs.
-
Well you may not have to consider it for long. Randomly the first 2 people who have expressed an interest in the car are both from Aberdeen, which is where I bought it from. Potentially got someone flying down tomorrow so this could end up being the easiest sale I have ever had.
-
Fixed the sunroof the other weekend but am not sure if it should open any further than this?

BBS RX2 fitted with nearly new Dunlop Wintersport M3 tyres. 205 46 16. 5x100 6.5j As per title. Tyres have at least 7mm on each and no cuts or marks to the sidewalls. Wheels have been refurbed at some point so are in good condition. However some of the silver from around the edges did flake off when the tyres were being fitted. This can be seen in the pictures. Think the tyres retail at around 100 each. Fitted with stubby valves and metal valve caps. Collection welcome but I can also organise delivery at buyers risk. Feel free to recommend me a company. Will have to ship in 2 parcels and will do my very best to make sure they are packed in a way they cant be damaged. Shipping cost set at 50 as a guess. Once a sale is agreed I can charge the correct amount. These fitted over my 312mm disks and Wilwoods with 15mm spacers which are also for sale. Come with longer radius bolts suitable for these wheels, only used for about a week. 60 List Date: 8/30/2014 For more info, click here to view the original listing: BBS RX2 fitted with nearly new Dunlop Wintersport M3 tyres. 205 46 16. 5x100 6.5j -------------------------------------- This item is no longer available. -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: BBS RX2 fitted with nearly new Dunlop Wintersport M3 tyres. 205 46 16. 5x100 6.5j Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!

If you haven't got one sorted by Sunday I will get mine apart. Will wait till then though as it is such a greasy job, lol.
-
So you need a vice to get them apart? As this is what happened when I tried to get the hub nut off the passenger DS yesterday.
-
Welcome aboard. From Exeter myself. Fair few of us around devon at the moment, although I put mine up for sale a couple of days ago.
-
It's in the Cars for sale section.
-
Cheers Rog. If you decide to go down the new Pump route I won't be worried if you decide you don't want the engine. Got your pm Rob. Will have a look at getting those brackets off for you this weekend and will send you some pics of everythings condition.
-
What did you do to get this change?
-
Parts still here. Still not got the engine out though but that shouldn't make too much difference to getting the brackets off you wanted. Will try and get under the car and remove them this weekend if the weather is good. Was toying with the idea of blobeye/hawkeye STI's and Remapped E60 535ds for a while but decided I wanted more comfort than the Subarus could offer and would get a bit hacked off with auto in the E60. The E39 has pretty much bottomed out price wise so should potentially be a good investment, just like decent Corrados are. Supposedly a very capable car as well, fun yet comfortable and loaded with toys.
-
Cheers Rob. Had a hankering for a V8 M5 for a few weeks now so thought it is time to scratch the itch. Was originally planning on waiting till I get back from the states before sorting a for sale add, but then thought why wait. If it doesn't sell for what I want I will just have all the bodywork sorted and enjoy it for a bit longer then stick it back up for sale for more.
-
Cheers dude, will be sad to see it go but it deserves to be used more in the way it was built for. My other half actually said she will miss it too, which is a first. Thought she hated the savage acceleration but apparently its comfortable and looks cool.
-
Unfortunately this is now for sale. I simply don't use it anywhere near enough and when I do it is generally driving up and down Duel Carriageways to go and see friends and virtually never on fun twisty roads. As such I am going to sell this and buy and E39 M5 for the toys and extra comfort, but also the fun whilst pushing on when the rare occasion arrises. Feel free to put any comments on the add in here. Since my last update I have. Damaged and temporarily repaired the NS sill :censored: Car ramp decided to fire under the car instead of the car going up the ramp. The joys of a gravel drive. Fixed the slide on the sunroof. Much easier than expected even though I had to repair a rear slide with a screw then grind it down. Doesn't quite go all the way back but only did this 2 weekends back so not had a chance to investigate why yet. Finished off all the heat shield renewal and got hold of a LHD scuttle cover. Needs modding to fit nicely around the wiper motor but looks ok for now.

Ah bugger, Not good news. The block in my breaker was rebuilt in 2005 about 10 000 miles ago. Needs taking out as I don't have an engine crane but it's yours should you want it. No cams fitted so would need them or the head from yours swapping across.

Well, did she pass?

Sold, Price as it stands £5.5k. Other options on price, see below. The car is being sold cheap as there are some issues with the paint. If it doesn't sell I will get all the paint sorted and re advertise at a greatly increased price. This is a good opportunity to get a very well specced car cheap and sort out the issues at your leisure, it is still very presentable. With the arches having been rolled there are signs of the paint lifting around the edges, not a difficult one for a bodyshop to sort out. The bigger problem is when the car is left in the rain the paint fades. As such I keep it under a cover and try not to use it in wet weather. Not figured out if this could be solved with a lacquer, what with Flash red being un-lacquered, or if it needs a blow over with fresh paint. Also had an incident with a car ramp firing under the NS sill on my gravel drive. Made a temporary repair and paint that I was going to get sorted when the rest of the paint was done. The other issue is the Peloquin is out of the car and needs a rebuild. Thankfully this is covered by a lifetime transferable warranty. Just send it back to Gary who will rebuild it free of charge, you just need to cover shipping costs, never got round to doing this but will if it doesn't sell quickly. In my ownership I have; Replaced all the brake discs and pads in the last few hundred to thousand miles. New R32 rear wishbone mounts Neuspeed rear ARB Uprated headlight loom and Osram Nightbreaker bulbs- main and dipped. Refurbed the alloys- 1 has been scuffed by a tractors step trying to get through a non existent gap, can get this re done for £60. Engine heat shielding all replaced. Couple of oil changes at less than 5000 mile intervals New NGK Iridium plugs as recommended for VRTs on Vortex TT wiper arms Replaced the Magnecore race HT leads Upgraded all the stereo Fitted Konig bucket seats Front center arm rest Momo race steering wheel AEM Dryflow airfilter Volt and oil pressure VDO gauges New Yuassa battery. Sunroof slide function fixed Bardahl Racing turbo protect oil additive New track rod ends and track rods. Thermo switch for rad Thermostat and housing and blue sender Probably other things too, more detailed info can be found in my build thread here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=81320&highlight=exeter This car has a Lever arch file FULL of receipts from my, Coullstars and James ownership. MOT March 31st 2015 Tax Similar off top of my head. Millage of the car is 171thou Spec of car from original for sale add. Swirl pot located in boot. 16 row cooler with an thermostatically controlled take off plate. VF engineering front mount Samco hoses Gruven alloy crack pipe. Gruven 70 deg thermostat. Shimmel performance 268 Cams (also new) Engine bay loom/ ecu was converted to later OBD2 and the harness was stripped and retaped with self amalgamating tape and looks OEM. Using OBD2, C2 motorsports software and 4"maf. Drives, starts just like any normal VR6 and returns good mpg on long runs. Helix 4 padel clutch kit B&M short shift. Chassis Avo adjustable coilovers including adjustable dampening. Rear axel has been shot blast and painted and fitted with polyflex bushes and new nuts and bolts were used when rear axle was refitted.....every bolt and every nut... Cat 1 alarm, remote central locking Passat de-locked door handles Needles to say this car is very fast and handles fantastically. Will get some picture of the arches when it stops raining. Price as it stands is £5.5k. This may seem a lot but with fresh paint I would value it at £7.5k £500 off without konig seats and standard very good condition black cloth fronts. £500 off without wheels, bring your own. £500 off without Peloquin. So potentially as little as £4k Not in any rush to sell this so no silly offers, whats your best/lowest price etc. If you are genuinely interested come have a look. Only going to advertise this on here until after I get back from holiday which is from 8th to 23rd Sept. A few pics. Some are old, will update when weather allows. Original build thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=34842 Coullstars build thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=49027 EDIT. Just been out and taken a few photos. Sunroof doesn't quite go all the way back. Having only got it working last weekend I haven't had time to look into this yet. Took a picture of the front wings to give an idea of what is happening to the paint around the edges. When the car is given a good clean it still looks fantastic despite the problems. EDIT. Just taken a few more photos. Had to delete some of the others as only 20 are allowed. Note the car has not been cleaned in over a month here, just kept under its cover with a couple of short journeys in that time. The picture of the wheel is the one that got damaged by the tractor. You can make out the worst of it and there is scuffing running diagonally down and to the right that hasn't really been captured in the pic. Note the car will come with; very good condition standard black cloth seats if you want them. a space saver in the boot and with a spare 8J TH2 fitted with Falken 452 with loads of tread. Will also leave the fire extinguisher in the glove box as you can never be too careful. Also comes with spare Lambda sensors, decat pipe, innovate gauge software and cable and any other bits I have lying around.

The alcohol shelf, now thats a different matter, always a nice array of spirits on offer.:drinking:
-
Well I am not actually a very good host, couldn't even muster up a cup of coffee for Dan as neither of us drink it. Sure I could get in a few biscuits though. It was actually Rog who suggested the meet up to me so can't take credit for that Dan. Also looks like the Schrick may have sold. Someone put in an offer just before the listing ended which I missed as I was out. Going to re list then accept if they put the offer back in. Not quite what I wanted but better to get it flogged before my 2 weeks in the states in September.
-
Mine has never run anywhere near 90 unless stuck in traffic. Since buying the car it has run just over 70 whilst on the move which made me think there was a problem. I replace the 'stat and blue sender and it made no difference. If anything I expected higher water temps with it being a fairly big oil and water cooled turbo but apparently not, maybe the different thin rad has something to do with it.

Not quite, this is in the Parts for sale section.
