Blew my heater hose earlier so need a replacement. Do people think it would be best to replace with another Samco or go original? This is the one.
-
Took the car out to head down to the beach and blew the rad hose that feeds the turbo. Currently sat at the side of the A38 waiting to be recovered. Hoping no damage has been done as I was taking it easy and there was still a small amount of water coming out once pulled over.

As per title, must be good to very good condition. Would consider front seats also with a view to selling them on so their condition is not so important.

Couldn't agree more, TERRIBLE in the wet, wear quickly and also easy to overheat when pushing on. Without knowing what size the OP uses it's hard to recommend anything as certain tyres are not available in smaller sizes. I will be going for GY Asymmetric 2 when my Vreed's have worn out.

AUDIOSCAPE corrado sound system ( ALPINE, FOCAL , INFINITY and more) - SOLD

If you decide to split first dibs on the audioscape door pods and focal speakers. -
They almost certainly damaged the paint and kerbed the wheels too ;) Glad you got it back mate.
-
Thanks again Graeme. Only cost £3.49 for a small tin and is a great match.
-
That's a great shout Graeme, in stock at a local B&Q. Much cheaper and easier than getting some paint made up specially.
-
Cheers Dox, looking into who does this locally.

Might give mine a blow over first with the brightest silver I can find. Not sure about how much more they stick out.

Bugger, heading down to Plympton in the evening for a friends house warming, can't justify driving down there twice in one day the way this thing drinks. Thanks for the invite though.

Cheers boys, gotta say I am very happy with them. Tidied up the tyres with some Meguires then got them fitted. Cleaned up the seats with the Poorboys which arrived today. Took some pics of the results.

Having seen how they looked in a couple of cars I wasn't worried about their size, think the photos make them look bigger than they are. Got my wheels back today. Just spent the last hour or so applying some Gtechniq C5 to them. Exactly what I wanted, much brighter shade of silver with a slight 'sparkle' lacquer that will glint in the sun.

Sounds stupid and is probably the first thing you checked but has the release handle returned to the close position? Mine needs to be manually pushed back in.
-
Yeah clumpy thats them. Ignored the 24 hour advice and drove the car yesterday. Very supportive, and although a lot firmer than standard they are really comfy. Cheers Rog, lets hope it lasts.
-
What a ****ter, hope it turns up in one piece mate.

Still waiting on my Poorboys Natural Look to arrive so I can clean the rest of the seats, but otherwise done.

Cheers boys, I am really happy with them, even more so now. Just finished off the colour change this morning. They were a lot blacker but the last few coats of the finisher turned them a bit milky coloured. Not too bothered as it breaks them up a bit. New runners arrived yesterday as did the hog rings to strap the base cushion back on. Picked up some bolts to hold them to the subframe a few minutes ago so they will be ready to put in the car tomorrow. Just need to bond the rear cushion back on properly where it was lifted for the spraying.

Can't imagine there is a way of doing it particularly well, but I would get some Tiger Seal or PU Flex spread over the split. Edit. Just googled 'fixing a torn speaker cone' and loads of results came up. General gist being glue and coffee filter paper.

My MOT man is very friendly and didn't even bother checking it, lol.

They only had very slight surface rust, will keep an eye on them but they aint going to break anytime soon.

Put the car through its MOT a couple of weekends ago. Only a few advisories for brake pipes which have now been treated with Hammerite krust paint. Replaced the cheap Pioneer 6x9s with some Infinity ones I had kicking around. While there, having the stealth material up, I added some carpet underlay in the recesses on the parcel shelf to aid sound insulation further. Today these arrived. Konig K5000 seats, the kind mk4 R32 seats are fashioned on. Wasn't seriously looking to change the interior just yet, but I saw them on ebay and got them cheap, considering they are £960 a pair new I couldn't miss out. Subframes have been ordered and will take about 2 weeks as they are custom built and fit the original runners. Plan on getting a leather dye kit and making the silver bits black and at some point trying to find leather door cards and rear bench and arm rest. Sat in them and they are ridiculously supportive and fit me perfectly, far better than Recaros. There are a few small blemishes, such as cracked harness plastics, but I recon I could get hold of these from Konig at some point if I so wish. Wheels had got pretty manky so i dropped them off at SWWR for a freshen up on Monday. 2 of them were out of true, so the ride should also be improved when back on the car.

Just wanted to echo what everyone else has said, bargain. 24v, audioscape door pods and nice leather interior, what more could you want for this price. Coincidentally I have just picked up a set of those seats in black that are being delivered this week.

I had to 'stretch' mine to get it on properly, its a bit narrower in places. I had brand new seals top and bottom to hold it in place so it wasn't much of an issue. With a quick run over with a heat gun it would probably stretch and reshape to fit a bit better. The difficult part is finding a LHD version so I can make a one piece full length item from the 2.

I am with Jamie on this, they just look so out of place in the C engine bay. I have gone with the mk2 hard type tray. Keeping my eyes out for a LHD version so I can mate the 2 together. But just a cover for the wiper motor would make things look a lot better. Here's mine so far. It had to be trimmed and a hole for the ECU chopped in but still looks good IMHO.
