My mate's got another set of thise OZ splits in 17", I'll have those off him when I get the cash, they might be more suited, I can't see me getting on with 35 profile tyres. I'd never get the car to work that's for sure. So I can have 17" F1 splits on the corrado for road, and 18" F1 splits on the mk4 But the OZ super T's for the corrado in track dress, and the R32 wheels for the mk4, a matching pair :-)

Looks the same block and head as the R32, injectors are the same pale blue colour (so I presume the same), inlet manifold is practically identical, n0t sure if throttle body is bigger, need to measure that. A few things are in different places, but it's 99% the same lump. Even the ECU code is only one digit out. Rrocker cover and breather is different, pulley setup is TOTALLY different. no power steering pump for starters! and alternator sit much lower down too. Exhaust headers are better, being stainless steel tubular and welded, not cheap cast crap like the R32 and 4Motion has. Sump is totally different too, and much lower profile, which is a shame as it's smashed to peices on this example and I only have a spare 4 motion one which needs welding. So, engine may be simialr, but as for the DSG, what a freak of a thing! it's enormous, and shockingly heavy. Should have put it in my 4motion now I think about it, I bet they are awesome to drive. but it's too much work to do in a weekend and I can't afford to keep it so it's gone already. Still not sure whether I'll be using those rims or not, they may end up on my Mk4, depends if I can find anything else for the rado. the 18"s fit mint, but I can't help thinking it makes the car look a little tall? (even when it's slammed like that). Either way, the polished centres will be getting painted black, they are far to bling for my liking. I'm regretting selling the LM's now.

Few pic seeing as not much has happened recently new Quaife Dog engagemnet 6 speed gearbox to replace the Gemini/VWMS 6 speed I had (and loved) New wheels, had these a while but never got round to showing you lot! (18" OZ Racing F1 splits, same as Schimmel's in case you were wondering) and a new engine after I sold the original R32 lump to Coxylaad for his own Corrado. So now I have another lump I can get on with getting it back on the road again. Interesting pulley setup on these Audi lumps, bizarre fuel rail too, no return or FPR!! it must be regulated at the pump?

you won't have MFA anymore. just oil temp (if you fitted the oil temp sensor)

not my project, but still very much on the go, and will be on the track next year.

1. look shiny 2. resonate more than the rubber/plastic inlet pipe does. overpriced, make your own.

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!

buy it back and stick a 3.6 in it WE know you can YOU know you want to.... -
must....resist......

i had the filler cap moved on my missus golf country. it had been hacked into the rear panel, so I had the bodyshop weld it up and move it the the middle where the badge was. then stuck the badge to the filler cap. to the untrained eye you'd never notice.

I'm only 5'-5'" too. but my corrado has no seats. must have been ok when it did though.
-
just to add. I have four 6 speed gearboxes!
-
have to agree with Kev on everything he's said in this thread. you don't fit a 6 speed for economy..... but I have an LPG kit for a VR6, fit that and you would halve your running costs!
-
anyone know how much he's asking?
-
something to do with emiisions I thnk, EGR pump or some other US emissions related nonsense. I suppose it lubricates the chains better too, more oil through there than the little hole in the early heads.
-
same. only difference is the OBD2 head had a big hole in the chain end of it.
-
need to get Will to put up his 2.9 OBDII plot, the torque is insane, nearly as good as a 3.2!

what are your perfect wheels for a 'Rado and why? Disc
PhatVR6 replied to vwdeviant's topic in General Car Chat
shame they weigh a ton. -
How many C owners plan to have a Porsche one day?

it just bugs me that is just the generic answer that everyone gives without any thought whatsoever. like the old "who's the best bond? why, it's sean connery", when clearly it isn't, as Brosnan was loads better, but it's accepted as the standard answer. -

can't fault the stance of this pretty much perfect wheel/arch combo there. -
look for anything with a flat face. anything that has a dished rim is practically guaranteed to have rubbish caliper clearance. offset (ET) can also help. low ET will push the wheel further out, and away from the caliper.

LM's are my fave wheel, but I don't think they look best on a corrado for some reason!? -

BBS LM's are the greatest wheels ever made. I was gutted when I had to sell these,
