sounds exactly like a dead battery to me too. -
used box for about £150-200, rebuild for £400. Are they quoting for a brand new box or something?

Me too, unfortunatley mine NEED flared arches for the wheels, I've just got to be careful it doesn't end up looking just like Lee's. Expecially with it being the same colour and us being from a similar area too. Not saying his isn't goig to look stunning, I just don't want people thinking I've copied him, what with his corrado being on the scene a lot lnger than mine. onthe other hand, if I get mine finished first...... :wink: :lol: :-P :mrgreen:

super clean car, and really rae in silver too, but I couldn't help thinking at inters that the headlight surrounds just look wrong when colour coded.

I think my favourite mod was giving up on modifying a mk2 golf and trying to turn it into a corrado, by actually going out and buying a corrado on the first place! nah, favourite mod has to be my gearbox, it's lush. with the VGI being a close second (actually, it should be first, because it was a 5th of the price of the box!)

It's an AMD chip, which should be perfect for the 268 cams and flowed head. The more I drive it the flatter it feels. I must be 50BHp down, it won't pull in 6th at all. Still no error codes, down to 18.6mpg now. I'm checking the timing on saturday.

Well, that's what annoying me. I've either replaced or totally refurbished every part, nut and bolt in the engine bay, and it's goes and does this on me. So frustrating :mad:

I thnk you'll find the oil heat up a damn sight quicker than the water does.

No crud on my car alnywhere. and all the starting and charging cables are 5000v rated with gold plated connectors.

another thing, the air temp sensor was reading 31 degrees the other night!

and it's the 8v lambda probe too..........which probably doesn't help. Also, I had to put a new plug on the loom for the lambda, as it was missing, and I had nothing to connect the screen wire too? so maybe it's not working right. VAG-COM didn't pick it up as a fault though? I'll try all I can, if nothing improves then I'm going to have to get it on the rollers and see if they can tell me anything.

YOU NEED TO REPLACE THEM ALL! it's a gearbox off job I'm afraid. loads of threads n here about it already with some good guides of how to do it too.
