why have an 80mm throttle body connected to a bit of the manifold that's half the area..... -
makes me laugh the way some of you "cherish" a 15 year old £400 car as if it's a classic bentley or something just drive the b4stard.

Is your Corrado your "best" car, or your runabout?
PhatVR6 replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
ah,2 corrados?! forgot to add that one into my options list! -
Worthersee 2006 Video. Guy's VR and Doug's V5 on here, 1:35 best viewed with the sound off, europap backing track....

Don't know how to start a poll. Do you cherish your Corrado and only use it for special occasions and have a daily hack? Or do you just use the Corrado as a runaround and have something else a bit special for sundays. Or is the corrado your only car used day in day out. Mine is my track toy/project, it failed miserably as a daily car. Frisbee......sorry, discuss. :-P

the wire may be trapped somewhere and earthing out on something.
-
if they clear and don't come back , don't worry about them. only worry about stuff that's stays there, or keeps coming back.

stan, this may interst you not the clutch switch, but the brake, you'd be amazed at the problems it's caused. http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/thread/723002.aspx shows you how fussy this later cars are to stuff like this.

i detest this country

micra!! behave yourself. got to be one the worst cars ever made. trusty old mk2 golf every time, hard as nails, cost pennies to repair, just put the old bits off your corrado on it when you upgrade them!

i'll take a pic of mine, with a camber gauge attached. I think it was 2degrees last time I check it.

will have to pop down to theis one when I have a free sunday (if I ever have one)
-
and you have? :-P
-
maybe not, but you definitely don't have the clutch switch wired in, it's there for a reason. I never got round to it as I didn't realise the hole was already there until I took the pedal box out again!
-
i used neither. it didn't drive nicely. when you tried to pull away, it seemed to "rob" revs off you. i.e. you'd bring the revs up to pull away (more than usual due to the light flywheel) and just as you were about to pull away it'd drop the revs back to idel all on it's own. drove me mad, coupled with all the other hassles I had from rushing to get it ready so i pulled the car to bits and started from scratch.
-
i see no clutch switch follw the pedal up, see the hole in the pedal box directly above the pedal? i think it goes in there. BUT, it may be slightly above that, out of shot. thats the area you want to be looking anyway.
