  1. That's well cool, saw one on a rallye at GTI fest.
  2. you haven't sold it to Ian Standing have you? all he'll do is sell it on for more in a few weeks time.
  3. you haven't seen how many sets I've been through!
  4. sad to see it go, hope it's gone to a worthy owner who will take care of it and keep the project going (and change the wheels of course!) bring on the new project!
  5. I bet people would pay £10K for OSV's or KIP VW's minter, so why not this more modified minter? so hard to price, but it's not like there's anything else you could compare it to.
  6. proper classic wheel 17"s I take it? which widths and offsets?

    ball joints

are you buying vr6 ones and not gti ones? how low is the car?
  8. nah, that's not the pukka stuff. get some HD cleanse (brown stuff, smells like chocolate). in fact, get the starter kit, and some of the clay bar (or the swissol equivalent) and cut back all the impurities in the paint, then build the wax back up with the proper carnauba wax (they'll tell you which is the best for your paint colour). you will be stunned at the different of a TRUE cleaning system.
  9. have you given it a good does of the zymol cleanser ? (chocolate sauce as I call it)
  10. wooh, huge thread! Jay, don't be disheartened by people saying it's not worth £XXX. it's inmpossible to put a real world value on such a unique car, and I know how much it hurts when people aren't interested or try and say it's not worth anywhere near as much as you're asking. try and blank out the comments and ignore those people, at they end of the day they are just disinterested people so you don't need to hear from them. and guys, he's not taking the pee with the price so don't beat him up over it so much. It's easily one of the top 5 corrado's ever built, so barely any of you are in a position to criticise. As I said on Edition38, it's an incredible car, and easily the best corrado I've ever been out in. not the fastest, but certainly the smoothest, and without a doubt the best built modified car I've ever been in, it puts mine to shame. It looks and feels like new (try parking in on the main dealer forecourt!). all it needs is a clever plate to hide it's age a little and some fresh wheels to change it's identity. I'd happily have it as a daily driver if I had the money, but I know my 4 motion would probbaly only scrape £7K nowadays so it wouldn't cover it. seriously, anyone even thinking about modding their car, don't bother, with all the hassle, expense and sheer heartache involved, jay's done all the hard work for you, sell your own and buy this, you won't be disappointed. looking forward to seeing your next project jay! good luck.

    NOS

grrr, it's not NOS!!!! it's N2O. NOS is the acronym for Nitrous Oxide Systems, a subsidary of Holley.
  12. impressive dyno plot, but WTF is THAT tailpipe?!?! LOL!
  13. no this old chestnut again this is actually a sticky on vortex, for newbies to read, so it doens't get posted every week, but it still does. who cares, it's not a corrado, or a scirocco.
  14. just turn your engine off when you're stuck in traffic
  15. the vr6 diagnostics are crap, it can't even monitor the coil pack.
  16. quality I've seen a turbo about 6' diameter, I think it was off a ship.
  17. no i didn't. I used the bolt hread from the 12v
  18. give it a try the idea of the new plugs is that you need fresh ones to be able to see them change colour to ascertain what's going on.
  19. mine was like this. it was a blocked fuel injector. fit some fresh plugs, run it about for a while, check the plugs, they'll tell you which cylinder is off and why.
  20. my guess is your speedo is over reading dramatically. try comparing it against a sat nav unit. I bet you think you're doing far more miles than you really are.
  21. no, I have quite a healthy selection of parts thank you very much!
  22. a few figures (some official, others picked up over the years so may not bee 100%) R32 32lb VR6 18lb Fidanza 6lb I have a fidanza one in mine BTW.
  23. the "hill" thing is utter horseshit, brough about by Gran Turismo. it's nonsense. you'll find you have to give it a little more revs to pull away, which doesn't help out the life of the clutch, but the effect it has is quite incredible, it makes the car feel lighter!
  24. [cue more sarcasm] a big one! GT35R (maybe). dunno for sure yet. I have a vortech v9, but I think that might end up on the mk4 now.
