Controversial - Which type of Corrado has the best sound?
PhatVR6 replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
I've yet to hear a corrado sound anywhere near as good as mine with the 24v and the exhaust bypass. any got the link to my curborough vid (can't be arsed to find it!) as gor G60's, no way! they sound fecking awful! VR induction growl beats that any day -

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!

jay, you vain bastard! (light up mirrors in the visors, looks like a tarts boudoir!) ;-) -
no, you got it the wrong way round. that's the filter on the tank cap, the bog bit is the pump (bloody heavy it is to, it's like a sodding starter motor!). I can't use the housing though, syncro tank, it doesn't have the locking collar i the bottom of the tank to clip it to, and all my atttempts at making one stick have failed. ack to the drawing board on that one. fuel lines are the same size as my oil filter hoses!

waste of a good car IMO, get it driven.
-
I'll actually get around to fitting it one day a bit of an overkill unless you plan on going for 400bhp+ (which I am)
-
yup! you REALLY don't want to be running lean with a high boost setup, piston melting time.
-
that's what I was thinking :( best get ours back on the roads soon!
-
time for this pic again! SX performance, THE name in fuel pumps. As used on a certain 600bhp hyabusa turbo. That setup there will deliver enough fuel to supply a 750bhp engine.

24v lump just placed in the classifieds for anyone interested.

My girlfriends golf country is LPG. it's absolutely fantastic. a bit fiddly to fill up, but when you can get it for as little as 37.9p a litre who cares! full tank for under £15, works out to the equivalent of 65mpg!! only problems, most motorway services don't sell it, so I highly recommmend you buy the map which lists all the curent uk stations, and fill up before a motorway trip. also, it smells a bit when you release the nozzle after filling, and the tank will totally take up a lot of your boot space (and it's heavy) also, it won't be cheap forever, the tax releif will eventually by taken away. I don't know when, or how much it'll be going up to but it will happen sooner or later.

you can get recaro's for £40
-
why doesn't he just get some recaros' out of a escort RS turbo or a cosworth? loads of em on ebay, and probably a closer fit!
-
just over a ton it runs 12's
-
yeah, that red one that's alwasy at santa pod has an r32 lump and DSG box in it. it'll be in the golf mag soon. you wann hear it run, changes gear like a bike.

what does this mean for us? no more modifications
PhatVR6 replied to olly elworthy's topic in General Car Chat
well, dunno about you, but I'm prepared to have another corrado, and clone my modifed one. yes, use the identity on 2 cars, and take the standard one for the MOT's. take the mods underground, don't let them beat us. -
depends on your budget and what you want.

"extensively modified" eh, so that means and £extensive MOT, more like "expensive". dunno about you lot, but I'l starting to get totally f*cked off with this government and the absolutely ridiculous amount of money thet want to take off me every year just for being able to drive a sodding car. I've had enough, if they get any worse I'm just not going to bother any more..... I'll emigrate! -

Noticed qhat vr6 says he can't fit the rear anti roll bar because of 4wd is this still the case? no, I didn't fit the bar because I couldn't find it. and I'd made the exhaust up on the car. When I eventually found it, I went to fit it, and I couldn't as I'd ran the exhaust too low and it was in the way, and I could't be arsed to change it as I knew it'd all be getting redone anyway so I left it off. the handling was "interesting".

200lbs/ft from 2000rpm, it feels good.
-
do it!! actually, I'm half considering selling the 2.8 out of my mk4 in the summer, and fitting the 3.2 out of the corrado (yes, AGAIN!!). got enough bits to build the engine I need for the corrado when I think about it.
-
could do, but what about hte handbrake.....
