  1. yeah! still looking for some audi headers so I can ditch this cast crap. just fitted milltek cats to the mk4 (4 motion), the power gain is noticable!! these 24v's love free flowing exhausts.
  2. LMAO! class, wasn't expecting that at all!
  3. yes, althoguh it does have a different engine code the audi has a better exhaust (tubular stainless headers instead of cast) slightly bigger throttle body (I think) and the cam cover is different. inlet manifold is the same but the audi one has the bushes for the TB rotated 45 degress so the throttle body sits on an angle, so it clears the bonnet. something I had to do on my own conversion (instead of cutting a hole i the bonnet stiffening ribs like the 2 mk2 R32 conversions I've seen....)
  4. no 2.8 and 3.2 heads are different, the 3.2 has bigger ports exhaust manfolds fit though.
  5. I jumped straight on an 850 as a first bike. I thought it was slow!
  6. yeah, nothing! i forgot all about it!!!
  7. if you're not doing track days, then you don't need these tyres!
  8. I ran these on my corrado. only did 1500 miles in it, and the tyres re pretty much shagged! saying that, I did do about 15 laps of donnignton, and a day at curborough amongst those miles. absolutely astonishing grip, but not a daily use tyre, they are just too soft and it's a waste to wear them out on the road. they weren't as bad as I expected in the wet either.
  9. I've used synta silver in all my cars for the past 6 years. brilliant stuff, I buy it by the 25litre drum! I was put off fully synthetics for life by a bad experience with mobil 1 and my (admittedly old) 2.8 VR6. it wept out of every seal and gasket, and the timing chains packed in a month later.
  10. same here, 2.5 years. haven't driven it for 6 months!
  11. right click, save as, right click, save as, right click, save as, right click, save as, right click, save as, awesome!! mine will be going in for similar treatment shortly
  12. I know where there's a non recorded elise in need of some work....
  13. excellent work young man! how ironic that the engine from the first R32 Corrado in the Uk has ended up in the 2nd!
  14. actually, no, it isn't. I just had to replace the downpipe on my 4 motion. I got an Audi 3.2 one (which is presumably the same as an R32 one). It fitted the car, and the engine, but not the 4 motion cats. the flange is different. I had to fit the milltek race cats I was saving for the corrado.
  15. note: it only sounds like that because I have 2 bypass valve itn he exhaust, letting the gasses (and noise) out direclty before the centre silencer. Just wait until you see my mates Vento. 3.2 24v Audi TT lump on individual throttle bodies!! now that I need to hear.
  16. no oil temp sensor on the 24v. well, not one that outputs to the clocks at least. No MFA either, that comes from the ECU (which now isn't there).
  17. mines a corrado 8v....with a golf R32 engine in it. I can't see them finding that one on their system.....
  18. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?p=453075#453075 the answer is here, no idea why another thread was started, but it's the answer.
  19. so that measn I can also get away without cats!! mint!!!!

flush it out good. it'll knock it's tits off if you mix the fluids.
  21. if it's as half as good as it looks I'll be impressed.
