Is the engine subframe the same in a Corrado and a Golf MkII?
elliott replied to Stig's topic in Engine Bay
It'll not bolt straight in but will always be able to fit with some patience. On another note, it would be far easier getting a VR and swapping your charged lump, G60's are rare you know? -
Any other R/C aircraft nerds out there
elliott replied to corrado_sunderland's topic in Off-topic Chat
Not sure if this is the place but I'm putting my Kyosho GP Spider on ebay shortly, last time it was out i ended up replacing all the wheel bearings, exhaust gasket, driveshafts, belts, gears and brake system but now i can't get it to tick over and it melts glow plugs so might need a new engine. I gave up in the end and stuck it back in the garage. Maintaining a corrado doesn't need as much attention and that's saying something :) -
Sounds good, think i'll be going down but not in the C, taking the wifes car i think :( Would be intersted in having a look at your car seafar, if your there?

http://www.volksfling.co.uk/ Well we've had a couple of days with sunshine so far and it might be too early to expect more this weekend but who's going out of interest? Would be good to meet at a service station and convoy down perhaps? elliott

Very nice, still not finished mine as it still needs plastered but makes the weather easier to live with when it's on. :)

Sounds like you've got a windows problem there and not a vagcom one. Can you try it on another pc/laptop?

That's some good news, don't get too comfy in the audi now :) -
Hello and welcome from another vw fan. Just a thought but 2 things to check for your warm start problem, first check the temp sender and secondly check the o2 sensor connection and the sensor itself. I know thats 3 things really but you get what i mean?

Hello, very nice car there Anne. Should be talk of a scottish meet soon hopefully and I'm not to far from you also :)

A week of good weather and suddenly lots of jobs get ticked off the list, leather seats swapped over, speakers upgraded, old alpine unit fitted and the drivers window working again. All good fun but the weather was never going to last.... to be continued....

Strange how things come full circle? Looks like burning wood is the way to go lol. Just had a stove installed here and it's a great addition to the living room. Yes the wall gets nice and toasty all the way up the stairs but thats the point is it not? Check these guys out, the build quality is fantastic and the big window is a must have, Not as expensive as stovax, morso and jotal. http://www.woodwarmstoves.co.uk/

Ok just a quick update, cars are still here and nothing has been done to either of them... house diy is still demanding every hour of my time :( One more fault added to the list tho, drivers door window has stopped working

Attack it from both sides with a grinder, it's the only way you'll know how bad it is.

Small dremel tool with wire brush attachment? Did the trick on my abs ecu connections.

Blow or suck it's all good :) Eezibleed kit is cheap and efficient but if you run the reservoir dry then well... you've only yourself to blame. I'd imagine sucking the reservoir dry would result in the same problem? Also i'd advise you use a bike wheel and not the one on your car, that way you'll not risk putting too much pressure into the system and secondly you'll not end up with a flat tyre on the car. Good luck

Porsche d90s, it's been done a million times but always looks good imo. ---------- Post added at 9:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:27 PM ---------- I've had a set of those, might have just been me but i found the alloy to be far too soft. The rim would buckle so much so i would regularly have to bash them back into shape with a plastic mallet.
-
Just a thought but are you using a gunson eezibleed kit? It's worth buying one and giving it a go, it's saved me hours of pumping pedals and saves a lot of head aches.

Cool, ferrying a 2 year old is what it'll be doing and the daily run to her work. Went out to look at some more today but my wife has started looking at the touran also. Not my cup of tea but it is going to be her car after all. Thanks.
-
She'd be off looking at touaregs if she had her way and really i'd like a mk6 golf tdi but the money they want is horrendous. Didn't like the jetta rear and she didn't like the standard passat so we both came to like the cc.
-
Just thought I'd ask here? My wife is looking to move on from the lupo as it's far too small for her needs now and she's thinking about the passat cc but does anyone here have any experience with them? It's a big car I know but it's like a 4 door scirocco and in white looks very clean. Thanks elliott
