1. Excellent, like it! Not many good coppers around these days and to have some corrado knowledge must be rare?
2. It's a rat look thing init? Would look good if the whole bonnet was rusting. ---------- Post added at 04:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:51 PM ---------- Unfortunately I'm not sure if it'll last long, the list of things it needs is a long one. The leather seats and spares are what attracted me.
3. Hello, check behind the corrado badge on the rear, the fuel filler surround, around the back lights, the sills (esp at the front corners), around the side indicators on the wings and well... the list could be rather long. First thing to check is the radiator support beam, check the tin under the radiator is in good condition. I've found this to be a good indicator of the cars condition if it's not been changed already. Good luck and take your time looking for the right corrado.
4. I use autoglym instant tyre dressing, it does fade but lasts the longest in my experience and it doesn't look too shiny.
5. It's not that exciting unfortunately, just a 2L 16v but it drives better than mine. I think the guy i bought it from is on here under UberMoose but could be wrong.
6. Is there a doctor in the house? I've just picked up another corrado after very little thought. Dam these corrados are infectious....
7. The old toyota vs land rover argument. Just as well this is on the corrado forum, The amount of abuse flying around if this was on a 4x4 forum would make great reading  My brother is almost finished building the ultimate 4x4... a series 2a 300tdi conversion complete with power steering! It's got all the bells and whistles however its taken 3 years and involved stripping every nut, bolt and bush then re-fabricating everything along the way.
8. As above, DO NOT go for the disco, Unless you have a welder or some deep pockets? The musso is an ugly box but it's mercedes powered....?
9. Looks good mate, hope you get it on the road for summer :thumbleft:
10. Hello and welcome from another valver weegie
11. Today for some reason i decided to open the sunroof... BANG! Ahh well, wouldn't be a holiday without some sort of corrado tinker time  Merry Xmas all and a very happy new year!
12. I use mine daily and the child seat fits nicely in the back. Used it a couple of times for going kayaking but a roof rack would be handy...
13. Hello, Sounds like you might have the same alarm as me? Clifford eagle 2? Download the owners guide here http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/og/clifford/eagle2_owners.pdf Just a note, don't hold the button down for too long
14. 1. I served my time working for the aerospace industry (Rolls Royce) 2. My second car was a 2CV dolly 3. I have three testicles
15. Welcome from a fellow choochter :) I hope your not using that as a daily?
16. Looks good there, i've been looking for a 4 into 1 manifold but haven't found one yet? (most are LHD) Should make a performance increase and a good sound i would have thought.
17. Yeah, had a look there. When did the insurance/sorn law come into force? I hope it's not dead and it's just tucked away some place :(
18. Trying to find the owner of HRS 972 my dad's old 1955 oval beetle, the tax run out in 2009 so i'm hoping it's still out there. Has anyone been able to find an old car using the dvla? I've got the form v888 but i'm damed if i'm going to send them a fiver just so they can say no. They get plenty enough money from me as it is!
19. Ok not VAG but a 300td or 320cdi w210 merc would be a lot of car for not a lot of money? Also you can do if you really want... ;)
20. Just did this today, thanks for the info. I'd have pulled it all to bits before i thought of this.
21. Unless your car has amplifiers fitted the stereo wouldn't drain the battery. It sounds like it happens very quickly if the car is running then cuts out? Does the car need jump started then only runs for a bit then stalls, if so it sounds like the alternator isn't charging. As for the battery loosing charge it could be anything, common things i know of are the boot light staying on or a bad stereo or headlight wiring. But it really could be anything. Loosing water always sounds like the head gasket has failed but check all the pipes and water pump first. My car was dripping water out the water pump but i never noticed until the pulley started rattling. The radiator is known to leak around the plastic connections where the pipes fit onto, check these also. Hope this helps elliott

Obd1 & obd2 ???

For £7-£8 you can't go wrong IMO. The real cable and software would be around £250+ and thats a bit steep if you just want to run fault codes. Getting the cable to work with the 9a ecu is a bit fiddly but can be done, the vr6 was no problem.
23. The 1.8 needs worked hard to get the most from it but thats the fun part of driving one. If you've had golfs you'll know roughly what to expect. The only experience I've had so far is that the corrado wheel alignment has be 100% spot on or it's just no fun. If you can find a place that does laser wheel alignment it's well worth the money.

Obd1 & obd2 ???

Sounds great if you could be you can't. You can read fault codes and clear fault codes and on most modern cars (probably not obd1) you can read live information from the engine while running. It's well worth the money if you ask me.
25. That colour is the muts... thanks for the link.
