    Could it be the hall sender/sensor in the dizzy, a bad earth in there would give you the random missfire and backfire.

    Anyone watched the film Drive? I thought the whole film had a great feel to it.     My knowledge of the G60 is limited but I think you can check the boost of the charger using the MFA. Link

    I've learned the hard way, bought and fitted 2 track rod ends in Aug and they are now ready for the bin. Q-DRIVE Micky Mouse parts are best avoided, I'll be visiting my vw parts department from now on but i just wish somebody at vw had just a sniff of energy and interest in the older vw's.

    Had a read at your build, very nice car and some serious skills/knowledge there. Not sure if my car is in good enough condition to afford such attention but I'll be keeping an eye out for any bits I might need. Do you know if anyone has used a mercedes kompressor?

    I was advised to wire the light but after a little work and some raking about the scrap yard it's all working now, unfortunately it failed its mot today. One CV boot and one steering rack boot. Sounds easy but one job i hate, removing the CV nut... ohh well, i know what I'm doing on friday night.

    Yeah? What about the old turn on the ignition while trying to connect trick? I was told my 9a couldn't be scanned but it can. You need to turn the baud rate right down to 4800 then try and connect while the ignitiion is off, wait untill it counts down untill the next connect attempt then turn the ignition on. I'd be interested to try this on a G60 out of interest, I could be talking s***e but it worked for me.

    Have you pluged it in for a VAGCOM scan? Takes all the guess work out of problems like this, unfortunatly its not really plug and play but once you know the trick it works a treat. All you need is an old laptop and the cable from ebay (£7) oh and the 2+2 adaptor thing if your cars older.

    I stand corrected, now ronal westwoods? Thats a new one to me. I've googled it but only got a link to a post back here, CazzaVR had posted a set for sale but what do they look like? On another note if you want to go 100% OEM it's worth checking the option codes in the boot. I entered mine in here a while back only to find mine was sold with steel wheels which I thought would be cool banded but I've no idea what they looked like?

    Hello and welcome. If it was me I'd stick with the stainless steel exhaust. Supersprint is considered one of the good items to have and I'd imagine it's not just the back box but the whole system you'd need to change. As for the wheels it's really down to personal taste. Speedlines do look good but I'm unsure if they are easy to find in 4 stud fitment? If you could post some pictures please that would be much appretiated...

    If you could that would be great, need the drivers side please. There are a couple of corrado's in the scrap yards near me so I'll look into them when I get the time. Do you know what other vw's use the same system?
