i got 145 out of my vr6 golf and it felt fine, good suspension and brakes! I got 140 out of my g60 and it was stable, but like the boys said you have to be very careful at that speed. the bush that screws people up is the one in the rear beam, that can be worn and it causes strange handling, not good at high speed

i think its for a passat g60 syncro estate

where does solid all round mounts? i presume a solid front is a good starting point with Vibratechnics rears

I have been doing a bit of research on this. What do people think to run is a solid front mount like the bahn brenner one or a vibratechnics one best. the car will have about 230-250bhp when i am finished. as for the rear mounts is it worth changing them to vibratechnics or such like? i rekon it is, but just looking ofr some opinions, thanks oh yeah and it will be sprinting!

Classic :lol: here in ireland we have a site that attracts a lot os this kind of crap, its a cruisers site! there is one lad who rekons he will get 500 bhp out of a 1.8T 225 engine with no turbo mods We got the 270bhp 1.6 single cam turbo people here these people are the ones who belittle people who make realistic statements about bhp on the web too! My god that guy is an idiot! I belive those brakes are made by brembo or such like for porsche, seat, mitsubushi etc! not just for stutgurard finest! as for rear brake bias, doesnt the front brakes on a car do something like 80% of the braking due to weigth transfer when you dance on the middle peddle rear brake bias would be like lifting the handbrake every time you try to slow down!, he is a fool! As for his snobish attitude, its just him, i know lots of people with porsches who are down to earth! Here in Ireland we had one guy who used to put the odd porsche to shame on the track! he had a 16v g60 mk1 that did have about 250bhp and some porsche wheels and brakes! :lol: All i can do is laugh at idiots like this guy, he will also be laughed at by lots of the other readers too! for the 1.8T's thats one way of going, QST do the MTM big turbo kit too The IHI setup was run by jabba's own mk4 and bill brockbank has it in his ibiza cupra r, 350 bhp ish i think

yeah, g60 and 16v hubs are the same, rallye standard front brakes are the same as corrado g60, thay are 280's

hmmm, i never kew the specs of the 1.8T's some serious power possabilities there
