  1. Its out of order! My uncle got pulled in his Range Rover for the same thing. there were no points involved but a fine of about 60 quid, and he had 10 days to get it sorted, and then a cozzer would come round to his house with the gadgets and eqipment to make sure its been done. It cost him £70 to have the tints properly removed! What gets me is the inconsistency of the whole thing. You hear of these things happening to people you know or thru the forum, but there always seem to be different fines and procedures. I mean having to take the tints off there and then! That takes the pi$$.
  2. yeah am lookin forward to it, after watching "best ofs" for the last few weeks.
  3. These look awesome! (sorry to use that word. i know its an over used yank word, but they do look awesome!)
  4. When you took the green filter out from behind the MAF, did you take the white sheet out too? If so, put it back. I got that tip (alongside a million others for this mod) from GradeAFailiure. Its like a diffuser which apparently spreads the light over the whole area. It is. Are you coming to Ultimate on 5th March? Will be a good time to catch up. Only a few weeks away now.
  5. i know the feelin Zippster. I was lucky when i went into Maplins. I got served by the electronic nerdy geek... (the sort that would work there even if her didnt get paid for it.... you know, the sort of geezer that creams his pants talking about resistors and diodes which i know jack all about!)... Anyway.........when i took an actual switch apart in front of him, i could tell he was getting his "thrill". He got all the gadgets / testers / meters out, and sorted me out with just the right bulbs i needed. 20p each or something stupid like that. So far have managed to do all the LEDs from Green to Red. The MAF thing is easy. just coloured see thru plastic. I did mine with loads of layers. Got loads left over if you want it. Just got to figure out how to do the headlight switch. Its the only one that looks odd. Anyone help me out with this final piece of the jigsaw? This and the heater controls.
  6. its worth that price just for the leather interior! Take it its sold then!
  7. kebabman, i thought this was a no contest from the off, but after seeing that last pic of the nissan, its a total no contest. Get the Corrado fixed! You dont really want to drive in that Nissan do you? Really? Naah, course you dont! Get the problems sorted bit by bit so it doesnt hit the wallet as hard. Dont sell it! You'll only regret it!
  8. ast0311, will send you PM about this tomorow.
  9. would make mine look like KevHaywires car! (And sound like it)
  10. well, mine was working perfectly until i deceided to change the LED's to red. Now it still works but i have to sort of "Lift" the round switch on the front rather than just press it in the desired direction. Anyone know what i have done wrong in the re-assembly process?
  11. 2nd that. have only just done this recently, and its a doddle. Just dont drop any of the screws when they are undone. Its better to undo them a little and see if you can undo the last few turns with your fingers so you've got a grip of them. Also, the connector at the back is on the left as you look at it, and you can get your hand in quite easily. just squeeze the two bits that clip it in. Just a question of being very patient the first time. After that, it really is easy.
  12. Gonna have another look tomorow morning, and may take a picture and post it up. Have felt that the car seems a little underpowered compared to when i first picked it up from Stealth after that service in November. Dude, im not being paranoid at all, and trust me, i drive it properly. Just dont want to be driving it hard if theres potentially a chance of wrecking something and ending up with a huge bill. Have been there too many times in the past.
  13. As above really! The car has literally just turned 100'000 miles, and recently had a full service at stealth. They didnt say anything about the engine. Sometimes i get a horrible hot / burning oil smell, and have seen small amounts of it around the top end. Any advice guys? Cheers.
  14. TOTALLY agree with you mate. Totally rude and short whenever i have phoned them.
  15. Yep! Ive had an F reg Toyota Supra (have you seen the sort of people that drive these nowadays!) and a Micra in my time!
  16. btw, anyone not sure about how good zymol is, just take a look at KIP VW (Paul Kippax's Corrado) which is usually @ stanford hall show! If that doesnt make you want Zymol, nothing will!
  17. would love to get the Zymol products. Have had it demonstrated on one half of my bonnet and it really did look alot better. Its just alot more expensive too! Until I can afford it, im using Meguiars clay bar and NXT polish. Am very pleased with the results and prefer it to Autoglym personally.
  18. DEL VR6

    TT DASH BOARD

And it looks the dogs danglers! One of the coolest modifications I have seen in a long time!
  19. Personally, i think a tastefully modded, or even bog standard, Corrado has more of a "Cool" factor than a Clio, even the 182.
  20. that was great! would love one of those!
  21. I just changed the filters in mine, as described in that downloadable guide by gradeAfailure, Will take some pictures some time soon. im happy with the displays. Have so far done most of the switches (changed the 3mm green LED's to Red) Just got to do the headlight switch and heater / fan controls. Havent figured out a way to doing them yet tho. :?
  22. this is the best thread for this Zak. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35880 its got a step by step guide from gradeAFailiure which i followed and worked a treat. My advice is to follow it to a T cos its spot on. Good luck with it.
  23. yeah, they said they are going to cover it in two parts due to the sheer size of it. Im hoping this means its a huge article with lots of photos and info. They on the other handing are hoping to sell twice as many mags!
