If it's a VR, I'm sure the number is on the block as well, just below the join to the head I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Nope, scuttle is mostly open. I fitted an SWG scuttle cover, looks much better in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I just smashed mine out with a big screwdriver and hammer. The screw only seems to be there I think to stop car thieves popping it out. The screw doesn't do anything to hold it in as the connector on the back clips in to the column and holds it all together. If I had to change it again, it would be a two minute job. Which lead did you break? I have a couple of spare black leads so with any luck, it might be one of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Replaced the triple fuse holders (for something more robust) on the uprated headlamp loom as they had rusted to ****. Main beams and 1 headlamp had stopped working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Have you had it vagcom'd for any faults? Both times I've had similar issues it turned out to be a failing lambda once, and a air leak after the maf the second time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Yeah, as Sean says, the straight ones are the factory ones. I've got a set of the after market "adjuster" ones on mine though. They are cheap enough to buy if you wanted to change over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Not sure what you mean by battery drain. They are only on with the ignition on, so mostly when the engine is running, and won't draw enough for normal ignition on, engine off, sitting around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I'd always assumed they would always be on. Timer or rear screen probably wouldn't keep them defrosted enough.

No takers? They'll be heading to the tip next weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

White rado between Fordingbridge and Ringwood about 4pm yesterday. Not sure what flavour it was. I flashed, he thumbed up back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I did the exact same thing to make do until I eventually got the correct ones second hand off eBay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That's what I always thought too, rigid rear axle would do the same as the roll bar i'd assumed but even more so. I.e. It won't allow the wheels to be at different heights at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
