  1. Must be a good time to be out in the Rado at the moment. Two lots today, filling up with petrol and a guy got out the passenger side of a 4x4 at another pump, and had a good wander around the car having a look (I was inside paying). Once I’d paid and was heading back out, a guy got out of a golf gti and passed comment, “nice, very very nice” [emoji41] All I need now is to spot another Rado out and about. Not seen another for an absolute age. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Used mine to drive to the office this week. A building contractor in the basement commented when I got out. Said “very nice, don’t see many of those around anymore” [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Depending where you are located, I have that flaring tool (the one Sean linked to) and a bending tool. Happy to lend it out. I’m in Basingstoke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Totally off topic, but my email isp is on that business park. Looks like it might be a Jeep and Mitsubishi dealer on Scirocco Close now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. That was a decent watch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. I don’t have one that keeps them upright, but I have one that spaced them out flat so they aren’t touching/resting in the tyres. Like this one.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383142651340 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Yeah, the BBS do look wicked, and much better than the 15” speedlines. I know when I had 17’s on mine, it was very crashy over bad roads. The 16’s I’ve got now are much better, 15’s must be proper smooth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Not done any on the Rado, but on other cars, Bigg Red have always been very good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Looks great. I agree with you about a tint on the fogs and indicators. I’ve done the same on mine, along with tinted head light covers, I really like the look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Does all sound a bit odd. I think given the importance of the gasket, I’d get a different one rather than risk it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Was giving mine a wash last week and a passer by commented and stopped for a chat. She did say Scirocco at first, but seemed quite well versed on on old veedubs apart from that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Nice job [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. No seatbelt warning light in mine (the other light on your ABS lamp) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Looks much more “factory” in this pic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Can’t help with sourcing that cover, but there is a better pic of one in this article https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/farewell-to-the-volkswagen-vr6-engine It looks much tastier in this pic to be fair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Looks like a tidy example from the pics. VDO gauges as well [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. They are a straight fit, and I’ve not had any rubbing. They fill the arches very nicely and give a decent looking stance to the car (I think the ride height drop helps the look as well). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. I’ve still got my short shifter to fit. Definitely one of the jobs to do during the lock down I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. I think you’ll love them even more once you get them back to silver. White doesn’t do them justice IMO. I’ll be getting mine refurbed soon, can’t wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Yeah, 205 45 are why I’ve got on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Yeah, I’d be interested in some genuine looking ones. Although the standard speedline caps look decent mind you. I got the wheels of a member on here from Poland called Tomi. I was looking for some 16’s and they were the best looking out of the ones members on here had going at the the time. Must be 5 or 6 years ago I got them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Yeah, the standard speedline caps do fit, not as tight as normal, and I think I stretched the spring ring a little to help keep them in. You mean where did I get the wheels? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Nice info and stuff there. Congrats on the wheels. Checked the front faces of mine, they’ve got a couple of the markings, but one is missing. Will have to wait for a wheel off to check the inner stamps. Certainly different going on the stamps, but I wonder what the difference(s) actually is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. Just watching an episode of Fantom Works and as they pan the camera to the car they are working on, spotted a rado in the background. Given the type of work of they seem to do, someone is obviously planning a fair old spend on their SLC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. Nice find [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
