Had some success with the clunk problem. I fitted a large chunk of rubber (got it from work) to the horizontal runner that the glass is attached to. I cut the length so that the glass now sits about 2 or 3mm above the original height, still below the rubber weather strip height. Doesn't clunk now, rather just a thud. I forgot to take a pic. Door card is back on now.

Yes that's the interior trim I'm on about. I tried pulling it away but it seemed very tightly held in place but didn't want to force it. I'll pull a little harder. Any idea the best way to remove the front trim across the windscreen? I tried levering it away with a screw driver but it started to make inpressions in the headlining. I take it there are clips holding it in place, are these likely to break?

I've tried searching but couldn't find an answer. A previous owner installed a Moonroof but it's not working properly, I've only had the car about 6 weeks so I'm trying to fix it. Trying to get the headling out but how the hell does the interior trim around the sunroof blind come off? Does it need to come off to get the headling out? I'm guessing it does. Also does the trim panel that runs across the top of the front screen need to come off to remove the headling? It's an absolute pain to get off but don't want to force it and break something. I've managed to remove all the other pieces of trim but I'm stuck now. Any help is much appreciated. What is the 'Star' screw size for removing the sunroof panel? I need to buy a driver for this. Thanks Dave

Well done for making the effort, I hope you have as much success as I have with the door handle repair kits. Plug & play please - depending on price.

Has anyone found a solution to this? Was there a bump stop fitted when new that could have fallen off or just perished with time?
-
2nd ones get my vote too.

Then when you go past the mobile camera and the copper sees your plate down he'll take you rear plate anyway.

I need to remove my driver door soon to change the hinge pins. Is there a plug for the door wiring hidden in the rubber trunking between door and body? It would make alot of sense. Ta

Picked my pins up from VAG this week, they had to order them. I'll try to get them fitted over the Xmas holidays.

Hello! Sorry thought you were talking to me

When I viewed it, it looked a lot like my old Classic Green 16v so just to put my mind at rest I checked it out and then read this thread. If you zoom into the photo of the sticker all becomes clear.

Andy, Before you go buying that tailgate check the paint code. I had a look on the sticker in the boot and the code refers to 'Green Pearl Effect', Dragon Green is a different code. LC6V - Green Pearl Effect LC6P - Dragon Green Pearl Effect Dave

Fantastic to hear you're bringing it back to standard. Great piece of Corrado History. Nice one!
