F240BVV Corrado Press Car - restoration finished, what now ?
daves16v replied to JIMMI's topic in General Car Chat
Keep it, you'll probably regret it if you sell up. There's enough of us on here who come back to the Rado. -
It's not particularly hard, just time consuming as you have to remove the door card.
-
You can get the screw fittings from Halfords.
-
I'd tend to agree with £800 but anywhere between 5-800 sounds good but then again only you have seen it so someone else will no doubt value it differently. If it's any help I paid £1200 for my K plate 139k valver and it needed some work but the paint work is pretty good.

VR6Bella, PM sent. -
Not sure if my old 95M uses the same top mounts as the VR but I had to change my top cups with new H&R springs. The garage who fitted the springs bought the cups from C&R in Radford.

Always wandered what those OZ rims looked like on a Rado - looking sweet. What size are they?
-
That's what I used.
-
I followed the guide in the knowledge base but it wasn't too clear where they were. They're almost invisible.
-
If it were me I wouldn't remove anything from the wheels. It's just too risky where strength is concerned.
-
Andy, We do some electrical work at our place. Can you tell me exactly what you need and I'll ask some questions or maybe you can send some pics/docs. Ta Dave
-
From an estate agents?
-
Had today off work so I decided to change the bolster, straight forward but just need to be careful with the fabric.
-
Andi, Hope you made the right choice. So next time you post on the forum we'll see some pics of #6. Dave
-
Got mine just before xmas too.
-
Hate to spoil your fun but I knew someone with PI springs on their VR and they hated them but as we all know suspension is a matter of opinion.
-
Hi Andi, Nice to hear from you, the car is still off the road but I've had it in and out of the garage a few times and it runs ok. Whilst I've got your attention, I won't be needing the steel sunroof as I've repaired the glass one, sorry if it clutters up your garage. Dave
-
Looking good Andy, like the rear lights.
-
I bought AndiG60's car at the beginning of Dec 06 and as far as I remember it turned out to be the lamda probe. I drove it back to Notts from S Wales and it's been ok. I've run it numerous times since and it's been ok. Dave

Best thing to do is go and see it if you can.
-
Ok fair enough but you wouldn't rely on a pic alone to tell the story.
-
It's 13 years old this year and the bad points are a sticking sunroof and tatty gaitor, I'd want to see the car before I buy, I doubt that's all that is bad. This person is trying to sell a car, there isn't much info on it, no mileage, mot or tax not to mention anything else.

Did mine couple of months back, I used Silicone sealant underneath to be safe. Saloon cars don't usually come with rear wipers anyway so why worry about functionality. Who would buy a Rado just cus it's got a rear wiper

Pinball :!:
