  1. Crikey, how many of you are gonna start keeping an eye on the rear view when at the back of a queue.............
  2. If I remember there are three 17mm bolts about a foot in from the inside of the wheels. You need to undo the two outer bolts on both sides NOT the centre bolt.
  3. Those alloys really suit the car....nice.

    Koni kits

They are higher than 40mm, can't say I noticed a drop when settled in. Standard ride height from bottom lip of arch to wheel centre is 360mm, mine sits at 335mm.

    Koni kits

I had my kit from C & R. They state on their website the kit is for ALL models (see attached) and it also states it on my receipt. The ride height front to back is exactly the same but it's dropped 25mm. You should know that I'm changing the springs to H&R's.
  6. beeftech, I'll give em a go.

    ABS query

I've had this problem and is still on-going although it's not the wheel sensor. There has been a water leak onto the ABS connector and resulting Green fur. After cleaning it all up there was still no difference. Strange thing is since I've had the car garaged the light has been off more than on, so I'm guessing things are drying out but it's still not cured the problem 100%. I've ordered the seals for the fan inlet duct to stop further leaks. I have a feeling there has been permanent damage to the ABS controller.

    rod alignment

There is a wire spring that returns the lever to the neutral position and it's probably broken. Try VAG for a new one.
  12. I think I used those in mine too.
  13. It's ok bending it down but it'll soon come back up if not welded. Just get it welded and it'll be ok. Yet another common Corrado problem.
  14. 10 mins from me but I've never used them.
  15. Isn't it usually the 'keeper' of the car?

    Rotor Arm probs

I didn't use glue on the new rotor arm and it's been fine ever since.
  17. Well I was having my H&R's fitted today but...............I had a call from Stealth yesterday to say the supplier had delivered the wrong springs........what a bummer :( I had booked a day off work and was looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be late next week.

    Rotor Arm probs

Yeah I believe VW used glue. I changed it on my valver and by the time it was off it was in a million bits. DON'T use a hammer or you'll create more problems, I used grips to break it off piece by piece but very carefully.
  19. First thing, you must make sure the spring is held well clear. If the spring is in it's resting position the striker arm will not drop in far enough which will put the hole out of alignment but looking at your photo it looks like you've made some attempt at prising the spring clear, assuming the screw driver in the photo is doing this. Secondly and probably more likely is the part that actually makes contact with the striker arm should fit into the cutout in the striker arm (arrowed in the photo). You may need to operate the handle slightly to be able to manoeuvre the striker arm into place. Don't forget you need to keep the spring clear when doing this. It's easier if you have a second pair of hands, oh and be careful not to damage the central locking cable. I've PM'd my number if you get stuck. Dave
  20. I've always liked those alloys on a C. Simple, uncomplicated and 5 spoke 8)
  21. There are 4 bolts, 2 each side.
  22. chrishill, I've still got my Westwood alloys off my valver if you decide to take Jim's advise.
