not read the whole post but most of you seem the be paying more than this for your corrado models had two of these today corrado model delivery was about 8 days ,not seen cheaper .talked to the model shop owner at U/Dubs and he said that he could not get them for this price Rob

well my faith in garages has not changed , he said rims weren't us, axle shit thats bad leave it here we will try and sort it , to which my reply was ******* wheel rims and if you think i'm leaving the car so you can **** up the other two wheels your off your head i want my money back ,OK he said it will have to be a cheque ,my responce i'm always happy to take cheques off honest men like you "i want cash ,same as i paid you" he then had a quick chat with the other people in the garage and the result ,leave it here or **** off , then asked me to leave the workshop called the police ,they came did not want to get envolved but the garage owner tells them it was in road worthy order when it left here yesterday so far contacted vosa filed a complant ,problem is now cant touch the car until they see it ,contacted trading standards they sent me a letter template to send requesting my money back before they get involved all in all a pretty bad week started off with a car i could drive with no mot now £320 + mot less money in my pocket i have a car with two damaged wheels and a full mot on a car that is undrivable Rob
-
yes garage supplied and fitted axle and the best bit is they gave it a new mot today as well ,the boy that picked it up for me uses this garage a lot and knows them well so hopeully it will be sorted what realy gets me is until my RTA 18 months ago i have never used any garage always did the work myself but just not fit enough now ,this my be the final straw not enjoying classic car ownership now as playing with the corrado was always fun not even polished it for two years Rob
-
just picked my car up from a mates house ,he picked it up from the garage that changed the rear axle and did the mot earlier today drove home a little strangly so get out side my house and start to check the car over first thing i find is this front near side kerbed 3/2 the way round next is a little hard to see from the pics but the leading edge of the near side rear wheel is toeing out about 25- 30 mm they have only gone and fitted a bent rear axle just in case you can't tell :( :( not happy will be paying mister garage owner a visit tomorrow and if i don't get my money back i'll be paying the police a visit rant over for now second thoughts %$£^&*(&^"£ Rob

holes in the bulkhead maybe just from an old alarm or a couple of old alarms check the spec sticker in the boot enter the codes here to find out http://igorweb.org/equidec/ strange for someone to pay for abs and not a sunroof ,abs would cost loads more than a roof i think ,and it was 1990 i can see the sale's man saying "it's worth £xxx ,take my word for it in ten years you won't be able to buy a sports car with out it ! " if only we knew what the furture holds Rob -

i thought mine would t cut up it did come up better but would not last long and just fade back off tried lots of different stuff even colour stuff (crap) after many hard buffups it started to go down to the white primer on the edges the hardest thing for me was not polishing it for about six months before i had it painted it faded so badly then i did not even want to wash it ,worth it in the end my favourite pic Rob -

glad to see another nugget being saved ,people say they are rare but they are a few nugget projects and finshed projects on here (as if a project car is ever finshed ) side strips been a talking point on here for a while ,they are in the wrong place to do much good really so for me its all about looks mine with side strips and with faded paint and without and fresh paint Rob -
french spec you an get them from VAG maybe GPC or try french ebay Rob
-
track width needs to be taken into acount but is the overall width that much wider as the vr wheel off set is different so the wheel sits in further this of course is if boh cars are on standard wheels just checked the specs and both are listed as front track 56.5 inches and 56.3 rear Rob
-
vr's nose heavy even with the same kit on won't handle as well as the better balanced and lighter valver or G60 Rob
-
some one must have seen mine about Rob

New Fuel Pump fitted...takes a while to start first time
carpy25 replied to TomD's topic in Engine Bay
this or maybe just hose connections not tight but it sounds like its not holding pressure Rob -
if your windows stillwork it's not the fuse ,the window/Central locking fuse is not in the row of fuses its above the relays in about the middle Rob
-
if possible aways put the space saver on the rear (if your running the same width and offset all round ) its worth the extra wheel swap and so much safer i read somewhere it was like 3 times safer Rob
-
looking good i keep my eye out for it at shows always nice to see another nugget corrado noticed you removed the side strips , are you leaving them off ? i find dull days don't do the colour any justice but in sunshine in really glows but the best colour is under florescent light like on a petrol station forecourt mine seems to glow with a green tinge try it you will see what i mean Rob
-
i had a lot of fading on mine ,it would polish up about 80% but fade back off quickly in the end it had to be painted ,that was done three years come next march and already the bonnet mainly is starting to fade again but as i had it painted in sandox flat colour not base coat and lacquer it should be able to take a few good machine polishes the embarrassing faded pic  Rob
-
Gwen Steffani ? yellow valvers ? know wonder i spend so much time playing with my car :D Rob
-
trimsport ,fits very well but not cheap Rob
-
i'm running 17x 7.5 et 35 on mine lowered 40mm and on heavy braking on full lock it just and i mean just touches the inner arch vr's have a wider track so the front inner arch may not be a problem but the outer rear arch would also 225/45 17's give too high a rolling radius you need 205 40 17 too keep the speedo reading ok and the gearing as it should be Rob

i believe it's an mot fail to have tyres fitted with a lower speed rating than the maxium speed of the car ,i've never heard of anyone failing on that but a story i heard years ago off a mate (not normaly a bullsh1ter) was that the police pulled a cossie over on the m4 local to use couldn't find anything wrong but the tyres were h rated (130 mph i think ) they would not let him drive on ,he had to trailer the car away , this has always sounded silly to me as the top road speed in the uk is 70 mph but how many cabs carry a bale of hay and a bucket of water for their horse maybe an mot tester on here can confirm this if this is right how can people get away with remolds ,i know that they now also have speed ratings but years ago all remolds were max 85 mph Rob
