It's a balance weight. I'm not sure what effect removing it would have if I'm honest, although I'd expect the driveshaft to become unbalanced! It may cause extra wear to components like the wheel bearings and/or you may feel more vibration through the steering wheel. I'm betting someone on here has removed it in the past and can tell you more.

Can you measure the control pressure from the warm-up regulator? Check for a spray pattern at the injector again but lift the air flow flap in the metering head while the engine is being cranked.
-
God damn. That's beautiful.

I think it's safe to say that many Corrado owners have also gone through the ranks of Mk2 GTI ownership. I've had three myself for a total of eight years.

TMT McCoy's 'Coupe...More of the usual page 10

If I'm honest I prefer the ride height in the first picture. Massive lowering does nothing for me at all. -
That's a lot of information for a first post mate, most people just say 'hi' :) Welcome to the forum.

What do you know about Mercedes Benz? Interview tommorrow!

What sort of things were you asked? -
What model of Corrado is it?

When I say 'legal' what I actually mean is 'no more illegal than blinding the crap out of oncoming traffic with lights on main beam'....for the record.

o.k im a thick 1st raddo owner, but whats the differance in?

Blimey. It's all news to me! -
CV gaitor? You may not have two handrake levers but you have two rear calipers. Seems like a fairly standard MOT for a car of the Corrado's age, plus it was free from failures on account of corrosion - nice.
-
Yeah, it's legal but the benefit is minimal. I had my lights wired that way when I made the first loom but I've since gone back to the standard control philosophy. My lights are excellent on main beam, even with standard bulbs; are you sure the reflectors in the lights aren't a bit cack?

A four-cylinder engine swap is going to be a pain in the arse. The 2.8 24v makes perfect sense.

I've never seen a Corrado with variable intermittent wipe. Hands up who's got that... -
I maintain that it's pointless getting any 125 if you're old enough to go straight in for the direct access. I also stand by my belief that highly-strung two-stroke race replicas make crap first bikes.
-
Yeah, mine is nowhere near as bad as that so I'm guessing that's just the way it runs!
-
I do hope not. I'd hate to see the government apply huge taxation to cake as well.
-
Well, based on that info, it's definitely worth changing the fuel filter first. Does the ACE engine have mechanical injection or digi?

Yours is a pre-facelift model mate since it was in production before 1993. Main differences (off the top of my head) are: bonnet, wider front wings, slightly different front and rear bumpers, slam panel with different grille mountings, slightly larger headlights, fog lights and indicators positioned further forward, a few interior changes such as the rotary heater controls, clocks with a digital odometer and electric window switches in the door pods. I'm sure there are plently more small changes that I can't think of. -
I'm good mates with all the guys at the local Yamaha dealer. I'm looking forward to getting the new R6 for a day or so in the near future. I suspect it's going to be small, cramped to ride and much less forgiving than the ol' DR-Z on the Norfolk roads!

Cos the CBR is the number one stolen bike methinks...[/quote:8a628] Are you just guessing or do you have statistical evidence to back that up? I'd be very interested to see some up-to-date motorcycle theft statistics. I thought such a thing would be easy to find on the 'net...but I'm not seeing anything.

The TRX is slow...relatively :)

It's not ruined - they're just stickers after all. At least it'll always be clean!

It's definitely part of the front panel. Expect to pay between £30 and £100 depending on vendor and second-hand availability. It's not a major job to change but it'd be handy if you could find one in the right colour!
