I'm awaiting my invitation to join. No performance Corrado site would be complete without a stunningly battered 1.8 16v with a flat battery and a rocker cover oil leak.... -
More pics....more spec.....

Standard wheels always seem to be in demand. Good for sellers, bad for buyers :)

The 9A engine is covered in the pink-covered Haynes manual no. 1647 (VW Passat 1988-1991). It's a workshop manual too, rather than a service manual, so it contains good descriptions of component functionality.

I normally s*** out when it comes to anything like Lupo 'wipers too but, thankfully, the main dealer I went to in Norwich got it right (and for £32 all in). Unfortunately though there's such a lot of play in the 'wiper arm linkage that the Lupo gear is barely any better than standard for me. Anybody know if the Corrado uses the same 'wiper linkage as the Mk2 Golf?

Christ, 26. There were signs in that test that I've never seen before. Scary stuff considering I passed both my car and motorcycle tests first time over 13 years ago. I better not lose my licence because I'll never pass the test to get it back!

Who's have though that Poland had so many Corrados on the road?!

Got to be worth a couple of hundred quid with legal tyres.

It's more likely to be a badly balanced or slightly buckled wheel. Try swapping the front and rear wheels on one side and then, if that doesn't cure it, swap the front and rear wheels on the other side. At least then you'll know which wheel is causing you grief...unless their all buckled!

But my name isn't Ben Collins....ah crap. That's torn it.

Wouldn't that bra thing become a grit trap in bad weather? Imagine that thing grinding the trapped grit into your paintwork on every journey. Nice.

Some quick online research would suggest: Some smoke during short-term acceleration, under heavy load, or between gear-changes is normal. If the smoking seems excessive then it probably is. The most important thing to look for is evidence of regular oil and fuel filter changes. Ideally oil changes should be at 3000 mile intervals as the oil in diesel engines is more important than in petrol engines for cooling and cleaning carbon deposits from the pistons and liners. Diesel engine fuel filters separate water from the fuel and should be ideally changed every 6000 miles.

I had to take my early headlight switch apart today as something's been jamming it and preventing me from turing the lights on. I expected to see the usual broken rocker problem but instead the green filter for the headlight picture on the switch had come loose. Result.

Not from Slough, but my mate's dad owns an MOT testing station near Norwich :)

:( :?: Looks like a result for the Corrado to me!

Ultimate Car In Your Price Range (ish)

That Supra TT is at the top of my list. I'm sure if I come across some spare cash I'd buy another R1 first though. -
What's wrong with L041? I can recommend it :)

A complete work of fiction. Shame.

Whats it worth? Any ideas? (PICS ADDED)

It's really hard to say. The low mileage examples of the 944 are priced all over the place on the Autotrader. Somewhere around £5k would be a conservative guess - maybe more. Ultimately it's worth what you'd be prepared to part with it for. -
The fuel consumption for such an asthmatic car.

I remember seeing one in carbon with the word 'Corrado' in raised letters a while back. I have no idea where it came from but it looked pretty damn cool.
