Seems to happen alot here with the classified ads ending up in the wrong section.

As far as i'm concerned these kind of soaps are absolute filth. It this type of subversive television that demoralises and changes peoples perspective in all the wrong ways. I hope people keep there kids away from it. It is sad that most fail to see it though now. I used to watch it donkeys years ago but barely watch any tv these days as it became apparent that everything comes with some sort of negative agenda attached to it, something that'll p*ss you off one way or another. I'm single just now but certainly wouldn't enjoy being with someone who shows interest in all this nonsensical low grade entertainment.

I used the vht crackle black on my g60 block and rocker cover. It does really need to be cured on anything other than engine parts that cure it naturally. I also painted my right eye ball with it due to a rather deceptive spray nozzle.

Although a bit of a wildcard and probably irrelevant to this thread but i'm also an alfa fan and i've always wanted an Alfa Romeo 156 Gta since they came out back in 2002 but the good ones still priced at + 10k so can't see much depreciation on one just now. Although more than likely be expensive to run and maintain.

Your best bet is to contact people breaking on ebay. But always ensure it's been removed properly and not cut as many people do. Mine was cut instead of them removing the pinch bolt and it was too short and I had to splice a section on the end.

Tuned into it the other night and they were harping on about fashion and male models and I was like, "OFF". Replace Quinton with Tiff Nidell and it might be onto a winner.
-
Not at all. Where else have you advertised it?

The injector loom is the same on all the digifants so one off a mk2 Golf Gti will fit and they're usually not all brittle and cracked due the higher bay temperature of the G60.
-
Wheels look not bad, i've recently put a similar looking set (16 x 7 Advanti SG40's) on my G60. These things are notorious for over fuelling and bad running if not set up correctly, I remember mine burning through 20 quid sat on my drive when it was giving me grief last year although figured it out in the end.

When i've had my bumper off i've never trusted those wee bolts so I just got some nuts and held the large bolts back in place temporally.

The market isn't great just now for selling so i'd hold onto it for a bit. I'll sell mine at some point, but not until it's perfect and worth good money. Then i'll probably by another fixer upper and do it all again.

Rare/Sought After/Desirable Corrado parts - What Ya Got?
Gti_Jamo replied to Jamie's topic in General Car Chat
Don't know abour rare , sought after or even desireable but doubt there is many Corrados with a 1H Rallye engine fitted. -
I thought they were on about the usual rot around the top of the screen. Be intersting to see pics of the offending areas on both yours and the OP's raddos.
-
How bad is it? Mine was pretty bad and have some pics in my thread below of the repair. I reckon you'll be hard pushed to find a donor car that hasn't suffered the same fate. I fabricated mine using strips of metal I cut out from a mk3 golf door.

Although the concept is good and i like the old scimitarish 2 by 2 tourer layout i reckon more work could of been done to make the rear end a bit more corrado and a bit less audi. Those rear lights just dont work at all

the rat rado that has built by a forum member

Cant wait to see how much this doesn't sell for. Love to see how it looks now. In the year i've had my corrado i've ony physically been in the presence of three other corrados, two of which were converted deisels. -
Had an old guy bitchin' about my G60 today.

Remember it's winter time and i'm in Scotland. My car doesn't go anywhere until it's properly defrosted and relatively warm inside. Old cars are far more forgiving if you allow them to get some heat into them before you set off. I help the neighbours whenever possible but wont entertain anyone with a bad attitude. -

That's it at the end of the day. Manners goes a long long way to dictate the outcome of moments like these. I think some older people see us in our older cars, which lets face it - were noisy when they left the factory compared to modern cars, and assume the worst. Great thread though this has been, enjoyable reading lol. -

Some great stories and responses guys! I'm not concerned too much i'll just park a down the road a bit if possible but it's hit or miss depending on spaces. Although he's old and retired, he's always in overalls and spends alot of time in his garage and has a fair bit of engineering equipment in there so will be keeping an eye on things lol. Maybe it's the idle drone of the supercharger that gets him. It does need rebuilt and prabably a bit louder than it needs to be. But still, nae need for the attitude at all. -

Yeah that is rediculous lol. I couldn't envision anyone in my street tolerating that. -

Aye a bit of noise and the're all hard done by. They must assume we're ned boy racers or something, I generally like and respect all older people but that guy appeared to have already made his mind up about me before before opening his mouth and that's not very nice. -

That's the thing my next door neighbour has and old Triumph and most weekends in the morn he sits with his garage open revving it up and tuning it before he takes it out and you know how these old bikes sound. I don't mind it though. -

lol....the strange thing is that before the G60, this time last year, I had a proper noisy impreza with a turbo timer that would sit running for two minutes after i've gone into the house and before that had a mk3 vr6 with only the rear silencer fitted. Maybe he's got himself one of they new hearing aids recently. Also there is 700 odd houses being built at the end of my street and trucks are going up and down all day everyday and in the early evening a road sweeper goes back and forth numerous times to clean up their mess so I by no means live in tranquillity terrace lol. Can only be jealousy lol. -
When I got home and parked up on the street this guy in his 60's from across the road, who's never said two words to me before, came out and told me to stop sitting with my engine on idle. I'm like, ''Sorry but i need to warm it up in this weather'' to which he told me to make it quieter. It's not loud and has both silencers and it's pretty quiet for a G60. I basically told him there was nothing I can do about it and to deal with and he's like, ''If you don't sort it, I will'' Not a mention of my neighbours either side of me, one has a Nissan 350Z and the other has a vintage Triumph motorbike and he's on about me sitting on idle. ****ed me right off as i'm fairly considerate to my neighbours and never drive the car hard anywhere. Sorry I'd thought I'd vent off here before I end up going to his door. Can't stand people with bad attitudes like that but will park up further along the street if possible in future to keep the old goat happy.

I payed 1200 for my G60 this time last year so one can be had within your budget although the guy that sold me mine was rather deceptive with his advertisement so do as much research as you can. Theres a nice standard red G60 for sale up here for 1500 just now. Anything G60 and vr will likely needa fair bit of tlc at sub 1500 but if that's what your after then it's a good time to buy but I wouldn't bother with valvers.
