Had this issue with my G60. I removed the connections between the rubber and plastic pipes altogether. Put metal inserts into the plastic ends and joined them back together with jubilee clips.

Finally managed to find a decent subframe which i'm going to clean up and paint. Going to get new wishbones, droplinks, wheel bearings etc and hit it all in one go and that is one less job to worry about. She's a bit neglected just now but still well in daily use. I know i'll get it off the road and restored at some point. My health hasn't been great past few months and lost all car motivation so aslong as it still works i'm happy. Over a year on the road now and I usually get bored of a car but not this. I've mulled over selling it and even advertised it recently due to me not being able to do what I want to do to it but I just can't see me parting with it. Not long said goodbye to my Mk2 Golf project which I already regret. Hopefully more updates soon. :thumbleft: -
Over fueling badly or poor ignition timing. It's not been over filled with oil?
-
Maybe the seller is telling porkies and there is a temporary block on their account while some unscrupulous behavior is investigated. I'd be hesitant to do a bank transfer unless your sure all is well.

Ap's are like a gazzilion times better than joms or any budget coilover on the market today. Better ride, much better quality and won't seize or rust like budgets. I ran both for a year, albiet on a mk3 golf vr6, and after 10k the ap's cleaned up like brand new where as the joms looked like they'd spent the year at the bottom of a lake. Those who buy budgets at 150 are still being ripped off.

Where to start lol.....With the G60 it's mostly getting them running spot on. If you've bought a good one with plenty recent history and was well maintained by someone who knows what they were doing then you should be fine. But if you bought a pup, like mine, and basically got stitched up then you'll need to become a G60 expert quite quickly.

I use tinypic to upload. just upload them to that site then copy the IMG code into your post. Any image hosting site works the same way. Welcome, you'll have a lot to learn running a G60 lol.

It's rust that stops them from coming out.

Some people prefer no abs, especially if on a track car. I don't believe you need to change the master cylinder but make sure it has a load valve fitted at the rear. I can't remember but i'm sure later abs systems done away with the load valve.
-
Yes I believe both valves should be shut a tdc. Shouldn't really matter as the valves and pistons wont touch even if it's out.
-
Hopefully they improve the concept of the show so all us proper car people aren't cringing behind our sofas. I haven't seen it in a long time though.

The plastic housing is likely warped with age and heat. Thermal expansion could be causing it to leak once warm. It could be the pump itself that leaking or where it is sealed to the block. Not really anywhere else it could leak from down that side of the engine other than a headgasget seepage but they are more likely to leak when cold.

Maybe the glass has come loose from the bonding that attaches it to the base that it sits in. Mine was pretty noisy before I fixed it.

Another note to point out will be that those selling plates illegally, the quality will likely be poor and not conform to anywhere near the standards required by BS and increase your chances of being stopped, especially at night when the reflective flaws are most noticeable. They are not tested by BS, the marking is an indication they have been manufactured to comply which in most cases do not.
-
The main issue with legality is how you buy them. In the uk it's quite a serious offence to sell or purchase number plates for the road wthout proof of id and vehicle ownership. If you have ever had your plates stolen or cloned then you will understand exactly why. For metal plates, in regatds to modern vehicles, are for commercial use only so you are liable to being fined 60 quid if your unfortunate enough to come across a police officer who is clued up on the subject. I ran metal plates for 5 years without a problem from Dubmeister, would never buy them off ebay though.

A complete resto crammed into 45 minutes. That's what nightmares are made of in my opinion. Just mindless entertainment to appeal to the masses.
-
Mines on 60,000 miles apparently. Need to get it done but will probably just do it myself.
-
Christ at that price you'd need to think twice before attempting to stem the flow of someones severed jugular. ''Sorry, took me months to find this in mint condition, bye.'' (VR6 roars off)

The television, ever since its conception, has been used to manipulate the masses from an early age into subliminally accepting certain elements of corruptive behavior. Most don't relise it but today television is more or less the primary tool in modern warfare hence why most people appear to be making excuses, or defending, blatant acts of immorality.

Well i know the amount of work that'll need to go into a vr6 head and the equipment needed to do it properly so that's where my point of view is coming from.
-
They were only facinated with that because media constantly hyped it up and gave it the name 'great' as if it was some magnificent achievment when in reality it was a malicious act of evil. Media obviously have quite a history with this sort of thing. It's brainwashing.

Yeah it's quite bad, hopefully find a replacement but if not i may just weld it. -
If it was through a reputable source and not just a ''bloke on facebook'' it'd be worth looking into further. At that price though I can't envision that being a genuine professional service.
-
Yes it is wrong to admire those who steal, as it is too believe what media spouts. it's all a bit ridiculously far fetched in my opinion.

Has anything been moved recently regarding timing. If you have a timing gun it's all pretty straight forward. If that's out even slightly it will affect power.
