  1. Pretty much all of it including the KE-Motronic system. I'd recommend it. ---------- Post added at 11:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:49 AM ---------- Totally agree with this. It sickens me that the 'throw away' society is quickly reducing the numbers of rare cars such as Corrados. I would definately recommend checking the oil cooler first before removing the head.
  2. Given yourself a reason to start looking to buy a Corrado :)
  3. Keep it. You WILL miss it if you sell it, this has been proven many times by people selling up and ending up buying their old one back or buying another.
  4. I sold my Corrado and bought a Mk4 Golf. 18 months later I bought my Corrado back again - Good luck ;)
  5. They are great welders for DIY use. I recommend trying the Co2/Argon mix gas for neater welds.
  6. You could always use the carbs as throttle bodies, i.e. they control the air flow, and fuel is controlled electonically. There is lots of info on the Club GTI forum about doing this.
  7. £12 posted sounds great. Can you PM me your paypal email address and I'll pay amd give you my postage details. :)
  8. Do you have a leather handbrake handle? How much posted to Essex?
  9. I have a Corrado, and live close to Battlesbridge! Mine is off the road at the moment, as I am in the middle of fitting ITBs and Megasquirt. I didn't go to Battlesbridge this year, but went to GTI International instead. You should both pop along to the club gti essex meet.
  10. I'll be there on Sunday, on the Club GTI stand, but in my Golf as the Corrado is off the road as I am converting to ITBs and Megasquirt.
  11. Lol great film. Hope this gets resolved and Eddies mates don't get involved.
  12. Yep, that's the build thread, and yes I think you are right, it was Stormin Dave. I wonder how his Corrado is now.
  13. A couple of years ago there was a build thread in here for a Silver Corrado which was being completely restored and having a 1.8t conversion by someone who was apparently 16 or 17 years old at the time. Regardless of whether his age was correct the build looked really good. Also, probably about 4 or 5 years ago one of our members passed away from cancer, and there was a wip round to fund keeping his VR6 maintained for his son to have when he grows up. I've done a bit of searching on here, but cannot find wither of these threads.
  14. Another vote for Google Chrome, although my pc is running XP, so can only get IE8. IE8 was really slow compared to Chrome.
  15. As in the title, does anyone have an OEM Leather handbrake handle they would like to sell?
  16. They are still active on Club GTI, so I have posted in their section on there to get them to come back to us.
  17. My first was a Tamiya Falcon - so much fun. In recent years I have bought a 1:10 scale Nitro buggy, which is great fun, and also Have a Kyosho GP Spider with a Green Corrado shell to match my real one. Neither of these have run for a year or so, and last time I drove them the police came to evict me, as people nearby thought yobs were racing motorbikes.
  18. Do you have a leather handbrake handle? How much delivered to the UK?

    Upset

I sold my Corrado and bought a Mk4 Golf 1.8t, did loads to it, and then spent a year trying to get my Corrado back, which I eventually did. Now I have both I am happy, but my Mk4 could never replace the Corrado.
  20. Ha ha, I was one of the delighted people watching you get your car started. To be honest I was more delighted with all those Corrados in one great place.
  21. Th Bigwig was a lot of money IIRC. The Egress was the one I always wanted. It was Tamiya's first reall attempt at a competative car in the era I was racing. After looking at the photos - I still want one.
  22. Any chance of a photo of the leather handbrake handle, as I a would consider having it re-trimmed.
  23. The Yoko was good, and mine is still in full working order, but it was hard to set up to be stable over rougher terrain. The Optima mid was like driving on rails - just so easy to control, never twitchy and never caught you out.
