  1. Yep, he's just like a spoilt child who cannot get his own way, instead of constructively resolving the issue he's just thrown his toys out of the pram. When you consider how many people would love a car like that, but will never get the chance it seems even more stupid. Shame he didn't donate it to charity.
  2. What are your payment details? For the 70mm front spoiler, am I right in saying the costs below are what needs to be paid to you (£36.00 total)? Estimated UK import duty £16.00 (GBP) Next day courier delivery in UK £20.00 (GBP)
  3. Just to get the total figures right for a 70mm front spoiler delivered to UK address... 70mm spoiler US $198.00 to be paid to [email protected] Estimated UK import duty £16.00 (GBP) to be paid to Mikkijayne Next day courier delivery in UK £20 (GBP) to be paid to mikkijayne Is there anything I have missed?
  4. New forum is good so far, apart from one thing. It seems to log me off after a certain amount of time. Twice I have written PMs, and gone to submit only to be told to log on, which is not a problem, except I lost the whole message I had just typed. Is there any way to change the time of what I guess the forum sees as inactivity (me typing only) before it logs me off? It's still a great forum!
  5. Who is Mikki, and where is she located, if anyone wants to collect direct from her? You mention import duty, am I right in assuming this will be in addition to the prices quoted? The price for the 70mm front spoiler is $116GBP, is that 116 Dollars or 116GBP? Will you be sending invoices out for each order before payment, so we all know you have our correct details, and we pay the correct amount? Sorry for all the questions, I just want this to go smoothly:)
  6. Please add me to the list for the 70mm Urethane front spoiler.
  7. Depending on cost, I'd be interested in the 70mm front spoiler. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
  8. Mine is a Juwel, and again it is great quality. It's about 6 years old, and I am the 3rd owner. I am friend with the first 2 owners, and between us there have been no faults at all with the tank, pump, filter, heater - all good.
  9. Yep I thought the same. Mk1 XR2. Poor Golf :(
  10. Mine is childrens play sand from Argos. It was about £3 for a bag, which was enough for my tank.
  11. I use a siphon cleaner but rather than sticking it into the substrate like you would with gravel I hold it about 20mm above the sand and move it around which causes the waste to float up off the sand and get sucked up. Also I stir the sand around which makes it look better, and releases any toxic gasses which build up from rotting debris.
  12. I've been into tropical fish for about three years. I really like planted tanks, and probably spend more time on the plants than the fish :cuckoo: Here's mine.
  13. Great thread, just saved 20% using JAN20 code on my timing belt kit and water pump for my Golf.
  14. After fitting a Schrick sump did the oil temperature reduce? My oil temps are a little higher than what would appear to be ideal (106 deg C in normal driving, and up to 120 deg C when driven hard), but I don't really want to fit an external oil cooler, because of clearance issues for the oil filter and additional plumbing. Schrick say their aluminium finned sumps offer additional cooling, but in the real world do they have any usefull effect i.e. reduce oil temps by at least 5-10 deg C?
  15. Mine is only a lowly 16v , but I get similar oil temps, with only the original hear exchanger. Normal driving up to 106 deg C, and up to 120 deg C on a hot day when driven hard. I now have a VW supplied thermostat from an ABF enginw which opens at 82 dec C IIRC, which obviously keeps the coolent cooler, and therefore the oil too. I tried removing the two rubber seals at the rear of the engine bay (bulk head to bonnet and lower windscreen to bonnet). This reduced oil temps so they sat at about 100 deg C all the time - more air flow through the engine bay. You do get more engine noise with these removed. I put the seals back on at the end of the summer, and straight away the oil temp rose by about 4 deg C. The C is having a winter break now, but next year I am considering a Mocol cooler.
  16. That sill is impressive. I remember washing the seat covers from my Mk1 Polo in the washing machine, they came out great - well worth the effort. For some reason this makes me want an 8v Rado
  17. True, but I still cannot resist explaining the difference, I'm just honnest like that  A friends mum calls mine a Correeda, and it has been mistaken for a Porsche before  - I don't even have any Porsche parts or badges on it. I like Scirrocos, so to me its not an insult, it's an error which requires correction :hitler:
  18. I thought, how nice, you have a photo of you and your dad as your avatar. :bonk: I guess it really is a photo of you with our Corrado's dad
  19. Mines been off the road whilst doing some welding/bodywork, but I've almost finished now, then it will be back to weekends, occasional evenings and if necessary trips to work. I'll sorn it and keep it in the garage over the winter.
  20. Mine is KE- Jetronic which I thought all 2ltr 16v 9a's were? Also I took it to Noble motorsport in Chesterfield who rolling road tuned it and managed to increase the fuelling to stop it running lean aswell as move the ignition advance on a degree or 2. All the info I have says the 9a is KE-Motronic. From what I can make out K-Jetronic - the basic system. KE-Jetronic - As K-Jetronic, but with a narrow band lambda sensor and ECU which can alter fueling. KE-Motronic - As KE-Jetronic, but with knock sensors and fully mappable ignition.
  21. According to that thread the ABF cams seem the best std choice.
  22. It would be interesting to see a back to back comparison of KR cams Vs ABF cams.
