IrishG60 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Don't know if this has been done before.. but from reading that on member here is paying £250 per month on insurance (€360)... was wondering what's the general insurance cost... so here goes: I'm 31 and paying €78 per month for my 92 G60.. living in Dublin. :D *Mod Edit - Added Poll*

wazza 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I'm 28 and paying £450 for a '94 VR6 in West Mids with 3yrs no claims and no points. Had some crazy quotes through when i was renewing with most coming in around the £600 mark.
Yandards 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Chucked a poll into this as it would be a good guide. I am paying just over £250, am 30 and living in the middle of no-where, just about 200 miles north of the back end of beyond. G60 and VR prices are about the same for insurance costs for me although I do have my other half as a named driver and I suspect this is putting the price up. gavbs 0 Posted October 30, 2007 £258 - limited mileage, fully comp, agreed value, 4 years NCB, garaged, rural postcode. Adrian Flux were by the far the cheapest and most helpful. Got a 15% discount for mentioning this forum, Club GTi and SWDubs!

junkie 0 Posted October 30, 2007 27 4 years NCB All declared Garaged Cat 1 5000 limited mileage £450 TPFT Through Adrian Flux but cant remember which 1 they used. ! word of warning with Adrian Flux, when they send out the renewal premium they dont do any leg work trying to find a cheaper quote for you, so when you receive it get them on the phone to quote you happy as they only send the renewal premium from who your insured with. They did this to me, with like for like quotes it went from 900 to 450, so literally halfed???

Bojmobile 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I'm £400 fully comp but paid it in a oner! Scarily my girlfriend had only past her test a few weeks and it was only £105 extra to put her on it - and she was 21!
Critical_Mass 10 Posted October 30, 2007 Im paying a smidge over £600 with 3yrs ncb and a few points on my license  with my gf as additional driver. Yanards - your insurance should be a tad lower if you add a partner on as additional driver. (in theory anyway).
ReekieVR 0 Posted October 30, 2007 35yo 10 yrs ncb priv drive gf on policy declared 'sports' zorst  fully comp. 10k miles pa £326 But this wil make you laff: just renewed Tiv ins and was offered: 3yrs ncb 5k limited miles fully comp on a classic policy £290  Instead i took one for £380 - unlimited trackdays included. So there you go - the logic of the ins world. Its £30 cheaper to drive a group 20 ,5l Chimaera with 3 years ncb, than a group 18 corrado with 10 yrs ncb. .... :cuckoo:............. :norty:

Yanards - your insurance should be a tad lower if you add a partner on as additional driver. (in theory anyway). Nope, cheaper with just me but the 30 year old point does tend to produce a nice drop in insurance costs. With elephant, and 4 years NCB too. Looked at Flux etc but they wanted far too much for the same sort of cover. The old Triumph I have is group 18, classic car unlimited miles, euro break down cover fully comp and at 25 with 2 years NCB I was only paying £120!! dukest 0 Posted October 31, 2007 31 10 years NCB protected (or maybe guaranteed?) 3 points (made no difference though) No mods to declare (yet!) Kept on street in london's friendly Stockwell :) Cat 1 alarm (required for this price) CCGB membership (required for this price) 5k limited mileage £450 fully comp with Adrian Flux It was previously about £650 with Admiral without the points (and they wanted £200 more for them) and thats as good as everyone else could manage this year before the Flux quote. Riley 0 Posted October 31, 2007 350 quid fully comp on the G60,been banned. 28 yrs old i think... 7 yrs no claims through gocompare.com,reffered to swiftcover.com. Ive had quotes for other motors through these since and they always beat anyone! Reccomended!

Ive never EVER had a decent quote from elephant. I normally give insurance supermarket a try and i get a good quote from an insurer on there. But this time ive gone with Adrian Flux who have impressed me considering other quotes ive had. Only think is i had to get a cat 2 minimum fitted (getting a cat 1 fitted as i speak). But then i am only on tpft cos i cant afford the full comp due to points. :(
