Philuk 0 Posted May 12, 2009 not alot happened since this! went to big bang and head a really good weekend! replaced hub nut on the car as it kept coming loose :?, then a few days after getting back i was waiting for my mate, turned out he was on the next street at his gf's house so gave it some teddy and blew the top hose off the radiator! so on with repairing that atm, flushing the entire cooling system refilling with a new thermostat in place and trying again! hoping i wont have to buy a new radiator but ya never kno. been playing on my new bike more than anything now, bought myself a cheapo jump bike so i can dick about a bit! :Dexpecailly with the weather being half decent aswell
Philuk 0 Posted May 14, 2009 after a couple of hours pratting about with the worst hoseclips in the world ever! filling it back up and bleeding the system we are systems go again! woo just need some money for fuel now lol
Philuk 0 Posted June 21, 2009 after getting the car fixed! i realised that both front tyres were quite baldy baldy! so i had em changed for some yoko s drive 195/45/16, apparently these have more of a "buldge" on the sidewalls so i had to re-roll the front arches resulting in cracking the paintwork! smeg! need some more spray work doing anyways so gonna get it all done at once :)
tedman 0 Posted June 21, 2009 you have all the luck
swiftkid 1 Posted June 21, 2009 I have exactly the same problem, i had some a539's and rang to order some new ones and they said these are the replacement, exactly the same. I live round country roads without rolled arches which resulted in needing a new tyre within 30 minutes and it also pulled from arch inside out and cracked all the paint. feeling better now?
coullstar 0 Posted June 21, 2009 Can you not just raise the car slightly?

Philuk 0 Posted November 10, 2009 wow i really havent done alot to this car recently apart from drive it about! saying that... *touch wood* nothing major has gone wrong! bonfire night was the last issues i had with her... seems my side repeater didnt want to stay in the lens and so fell out dropped into where the arch lining should be. i took this out becase it was catching on the wheels too much and so it was left dangling randomly hitting the tyre..the tyre has grabbed it and rubbed the bulb and bulb holder out. shorting out the indicators for right turn and blowing the fuse. this in turn meant that the immobiliser wouldnt deactivate so i had to abandon it on the foreshore until we had played with fire for a bit. i didnt realise it had only blown a fuse until the following day just thought it was the immobiliser playing up so i got towed home by the aa and have sorted it out now... suprings that £2.36 worth of plastic could cause such havoc! apart from that im going to a couple of bodyshops and pricing up getting bits and bats resprayed... bonnet wings bumpers and i want the rub strips taking off aswell so keep your eyes peeled!! lilfuzzer 1 Posted February 4, 2010 nice photos in the thread mate :D the rear tread seems to tuck real nicely into the arch. Maybe have to go for a slightly bigger stretch on mine next time
Philuk 0 Posted February 4, 2010 yea they sit really well inside the rear arches. it goes quite low on the back, wish it could go a bit lower really.
