I’m not sure chap as when I had my rebuild and collected car I asked him to check the chip and he just gave me one and fitted fir free - was not to fussed about getting it on a rolling road as it was a fresh rebuild breaking in and the tune is designed for variable inlet . Guessing it’s 200-220 max .
-
No cams mate just a true 2.9 bore and the vsr - 268 cams for a variable as you all ready have the low down - have heard they can run a bit lumpy with 268 though not sure to be honest. Yes I have chip in the ecu - Vince has a Stealth off the shelf one and I would get him to fit it as he was telling me he finds some chips put in the ecu from other tuners in quite a crude manner that cuts something up - he found a a way to put them in none surgically.
-
I was racing my mate in his stock alpine VR rado - and he couldn't keep up nowhere near with the variable intake - his ottinger had 5k of engine work from new on sale of receipt form Scots of solane square so be interesting to give him bash in that one.
-
Thats the set up - regret taking off my front vibra.but wanted to see what is was like with all new mounts.
-
Congrats mate they do make a difference its not just about the numbers its how it deliveries it that makes it a great bit of kit- . you will find with new stock mounts if you give it the beans you will still get engine movement.
-

Here is a rare votex one out of the 92 vag accessory brochure under corrado https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/porsche-944-924-964-993-atiwe-lenkrad-sportlenkrad-mit-nabe-votex/1781204717-223-3242 I was trying one month to get this rare gti version its the same as the audi 80 votex version but also did it for the GTI- no joy after 3 weeks emailing would only acceot bank transfer and when I tried bank asked for address and he would not give it.
-
From my experience Germans dont like Paypal as they dont like taking risks and paypal is in the buyers favour - there only issue is that the UK ans USA market are willing to pay more for the rare parts- there are a few sellers that have trust in greater man . There is a zander g60 at a scrapers over there with BBS Lm - could only dream of a breakers like that over here.

That mod conceals a hamster in a roll wheel the mechanically opens the sunroof

ebay kleinanzeigen is not actually normal ebay it is the equivalent of gumtree on the basis that there are no seller costs - it does have more fraudsters on there - however there is nothing stopping you asking for the sellers email and paying by paypal for an item (not friends and family) - your biggest issue is getting them to accept paypal and shipping to the UK - from my experience this website has the rarest German car parts in the world. I got my VSR off there and also recaro seats - you find France , Spain, Netherlands - advertise on there to because Germany has many towns that are not to a far drive from these other countries. My VSR was from France but advertised on there. It is very good for reasonable priced classic vag brochures and steering wheels, alloys to.
-
They cost a fair bit but on the bright side you see some very well factory spec cars out there many with recaro and centre gauges - I mean if you pay cheap you will get a bigger bill in the long run then buying a sorted one - that is the classic car world for you. Body work is the killer and cost - engine rebuilds costly to .
-
Pretty annoying and the banjo bolts and washers dont seem to be on etka anywhere but cost a lot stand alone from doing injector lines in the past- probably best to go with the stainless steel in the long run.
-
Got the Brembo hoses today - they didnt come with the banjo bolts or washers- bit of a pain to be honest as not using the crusty old ones . Purchased some hel ones instead with clear instructions to insure they are for the Mk3 54 mm 288 mm 95 onwards with banjo - there advert description is a joke.
-
Slight defect ones here for cheaper. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-191945120/k0

Oh right got you- these came on a MK2 in the USA I think. Think Sprinter is the seller on ebay he might do you a better price if you contact him on here. https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=191945119&_sacat=0

Thanks Tony, The only crusty bit left on my car (ok not really including the ABS Unit )is the hubs - they look so crusty its gross so wire wheeled these spare vr hubs/ krust then black caliper heat paint . got a hub and bearing kit- after removing the old abs sensors in the spare hubs I purchased 2 new Bosch ones as they just fell apart - were reasonable at £15.00 a side compared to vags £70 - £80 a side. Of course left the old bearings in for Vince to pull out ha. The hub and abs sensor ring was very good value. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/333927009215 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182417100081

Just get a C shape clamp on the a pillar trim mate

I have sent mine off to Bigg Redd- I was very impressed with their ability to answer a phone and with a good attitude so got my business. Also said can you give me some of the brake pad springs and he said of course. Now we are out of the EU I keep trying to remind myself buy British.
-
That is true Fla- I will be sending mine off to big redd but they look so damn god crusty and just wondering what proceess they use to kill the rust - Im mean the other way you get brand new ate carriers- the one bonus from Big Redd is they will come in my chosen colour red- as you say though no big deal painting some fresh silver ones red. However I have to deal with a breaker and pay postage for carriers and callipers - old carriers not nrew and will be £40.00 worse off- autodoc is the best solution if you dont own a set of 288 mm and dont have the means to diy refurb and strip the callipers and treat crusty metal.
-
Interestingly you can buy x2 callipers ATE 288 mm refurbished (come with new springs to ) for both £134.00 or TRW for similar price. Free postage (100 if you can be arsed to post your old ones to them ) Two (new) ATE carrier £ 88.00 both Slider kit and bolts both £6.00 So its the same price as sending them to Big Redd but the carriers are new- seems pointless buying a second hand set for £50.00 + refurb Big Redd £185.00 (no springs)+ postage Might just go with that instead to be honest seems lot less hassle. Autodoc sell all the above.
