  1. Glad you didnt get your pants in that photo mate would wrecked my bank holiday - seriously the interior looks mint well done. Cream looks so good fresh but so bad when tired.
  2. Kamei no1 mate come on.
  3. I would say individual the parts would cost a bomb brand new- I mean Ive never seen one advertised but its one of the biggest complaints in a corrado - sticky leather- Im just guessing now but for 1k would be worth every penny especially for a corrado owner that does European tours or lives in a hot climate .
  4. They sound good all right- I noticed the Audi 80 came with a 280 mm double pot.
  5. Stealth obsession for the name of the build ? I quite like Tempest as its a bit stronger then a storm . Im done spending for the time beign but very tempted for the callipers.
  6. Had to look twice at the price of this Mk2 16v at 35 k but then saw the mileage. Would love a smell of that cabin. Always seems to be slimey dealers that get their hands on these car - must be approached by family members in most cases to sell on behalf of an older relative- they make shit loads on them and do fook all to them. In this case it does say the garage that is selling it serviced it for 28 years- I suppose the selleres sometimes dont want to deal with the VW jealous haters. and tyre kickers. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202105283211064?advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=Pl143tx&model=GOLF&page=1&aggregatedTrim=GTI&price-from=25000&make=VOLKSWAGEN&include-delivery-option=on&sort=relevance&fbclid=IwAR2rkAKnPtFtLAlo75jCLrmnyWQfRcPKfQ1-fs6TiCJ2f_SKvrKCXdH5zQQ
  7. That is the best upgrade in all the vag classics for sure.
  8. Ok thanks Dox- maybe I just get a set of the 288 mm - i think the stock brakes can catch you out in real high ??? speeds approaching slow traffic as we are so you use to more modern brakes.
  9. Does the extra increase in sizr brakes put more pressure on an all ready temperamental abs sytem I wonder ? I imagine Dox its not as noticeable as the 266 mm upgrade to g60 280 mm in a mk2 golf ?
  10. Very valid points there I do like a space saver to get me out the crap - what is the braking performance in real terms -does it out weight the loaded weight added to the axles. I do like to put on the stock 15 - but I suppose the ones to fit would be the AP 4 pots that match the vento kit.
  11. Thanks mate - the only thing missing I would say is the 288 mm brake upgarde but my stocks are in fantastic condition. Do 288 mm accommodate the stock speedline 15 alloys - what are the part number for 288 mm callipers as I believe mk5 and a3 had them . I think you lot use the MK4 callipers ?
  12. Final build sheet - had a bit of time today so thought why not .
  13. Superb mate - good you can come to gilkes then / I bet that fuel system is needing a good run !

    Battery drain

Ive changed my actuators to - mine still had a drain but still glad I changed them - I took out the Alpine stereo and seemed to cure it.
  15. Nice one mate- I can get mine looking like yours with that product I will be chuffed. Them seagulls are huge these days - Im mean they are growing to Pterodactyl proportions - no doubt these USA type king size meals been scavenged on the beach's of the UK.🤣
  16. Thanks ABV- They are concaved I believe to allow the 4 pot AP callipers to be fitted that came as part of the VWMS race kit for vento cars. Im not sure which kit it was but would of been one of these - it has the codes and type of alloy - may well of been the Honda kit. https://catalogue.apracing.com/59/#zoom=z Good write here about Mark Yates who worked with Vince building the cars with the VWMS kits which included the alloys- also mentioned about him working at Gemini transmissions the VWMS gear boxes . https://www.onlyrevo.com/blog/mr-motorsport/ What I really like about the alloys is that VW Motorsport actually advertise them for a Corrado - so a great period OE manufacturer plus modification . Very rare alloy though as they cost more then a set of BBS RS new. Some cool picture here of the alloys on some MK3 track cars and also special editions. Those wondering what one alloy cost 418 dem - so that is £200.00 per alloy back in 92 if you damaged one on the track. so with inflation would cost just under £1800.00 in todays money for bottom complete set with Dunlop sport tyres fitted.
  17. Thanks Fla- I hace always wondered did Speedline sell these alloys to any other car manufactures or tuning houses. These Mim 16 speed;lines are closely related to them , https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124119976668
  18. Thanks mate the 997 blocks in the classics as they are only replaceable with 2 or 3 years renovation blood sweat and tears - its very hard to get a well sorted rado as Im sure you are aware as owner himself that has got his car in top nick alike to other members on here 👍
  19. Hi everyone . Gilkes cafe mini forum meet . Date Sunday 27th June . 11.00 am. Would be great to catch up and see some of the members cars - hope a few of you can make it - this is only been advertised on the forum . https://gilksgaragecafe.com/menu/
  20. Beautiful evening in the Midlands so thought I would share a few pics after I cleaned them - low evening light is best for black paint .
  21. I have some nos of these- they also came on the MK2 golf- they will be remade because of that exact reason so I expect they are been remade- none genuine but its just a sponge type material . They sit flush with the bonnet inner scuttle seal so I guess they are a water guide.
  22. To bring this back alive. Are these the correct part numbers for tie rods RHD UK vr6 thanks . left 1H0422803A + right 1H0422804A https://www.ilcats.ru/vw/?function=getParts&market=RDW&model=COR&modelcode=76&year=1995&group=4&subgroup=422&part=105000&language=en
  23. Looks like mine was cut up when Schrick fitted Cressa ? I would say the bracket would fit a vsr mate by the looks of it ?
  24. Thanks - does the bracket come apart - I think I just have the cable earthing plate part bolted to my block . Will check later but I reckon the bracket was cut when the schrick was fitted. thanks
